Excellent traditional pub in Wigan Centre, next to railway bridge directly opposite Wigan North Western & just "down" from Wallgate Stations.
Bigger than it looks with lounge & other rooms ideal for groups. Several real ales on offer including Bank Top Dark mild & the excellent Pieminster lunches & other food choices.

This was our second visit to the Swan and Railway. It's perfectly placed for public transport and the centre of Wigan.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.
We had a selection of the pies available which were superb.
We'll be back again hopefully.

This 'real' pub is opposite Wigan North Western station. Good selection of real ales in a friendly atmosphere & minutes away from town center. Been here over many years & character of the pub remains & well worth a visit.

If you’re on a pub crawl (like I was) it is a little out the way but nothing too bad - brilliant service (sorry I didn’t catch the name, was a blonde woman whom was 32 - 45 years a old and was a brilliant pint. Excellent beer garden

This place is absolutely amazing. The rooms are beautiful and the bar is so good. The manager is so amazing and understanding too polite kind and caring and all the staff are too. Beautiful welcoming. Would recommend this place to anyone more than 1000% Thankyou so so much.

A wonderful traditional pub with real ales and ciders. There's a TV for football in the right hand bar, and on Tuesday nights there's a buskers / jamming session in the back room.
Staff need to enforce 'no vaping' in the pub.

Just called in for a drink....various cask ales available at very reasonable prices,beautiful rooms to sit in,excellent staff and jukebox playing superb tunes....please call in if you are in Wigan

Bought a pint of bitter which tasted like vinegar. Complained to barman who stated that's what it's like ! Wouldnt exchange it. Come on man! Been drinking beer for 30 years. Bad service
