Can't recommend this pub enough! We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in an excellent spacious, clean and accommodating room. The food at dinner and breakfast was superb with all the staff being extremely friendly and helpful. The owner especially went out of his way to make us feel welcome and made time to chat. Will definitely stay here again

We had a delicious meal at the Talbot Inn this afternoon. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was so delicious, we couldn’t fault it at all! A member staff even gave me two desserts on one as I couldn’t decide what I wanted, no extras charge, just as a kind gesture! We will definitely be returning very soon! 😊

Stayed there for one night. Room was very clean and smart. Large shower which is always a good thing. Had an evening meal really good. Breakfast came with the room again good breakfast. I couldn't fault the talbot even if I wanted to.

Parking can be a,bit tricky at the front.
We visited on the spur of the moment on a Tuesday afternoon looking for food.
The staff were very helpful and gave us the menu explaining the gluten free options which is most of the menu
There is a wide range of drinks and good quality foid to suit all

The room and shower were large and thoughtfully comfortable.
The service we experienced at breakfast this morning was excellent. The food plentiful but most especially the atmosphere and kindness shown by the manager to us and our accompanying grandchildren was outstanding.

Went for lunch. Good variety of food options. I shared a sandwich and chips and they split the food across 2 plates which was really good as so many places serve the food on one plate and provide a spate plate. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing.

I live near this pub and pass it all the time as I drive from our village to take my kids to the nearby skate park. I've always meant to go in, but until recently hadn't had the time to stop.

On this occasion, my van broke down the other side of the road to the pub. I had experienced an unfolding of hellish life events which resulted in me being stranded here with no place to go. The kindness these guys showed during that time meant more than words can say.

The Talbot is a beautiful pub, great selection of drinks and the food is fantastic. The owner, Stewart, is so friendly and caring about his customers. Because I was stranded for a few days, i was in the pub a lot... I would often see Stuart walking around the restaurant speaking to people at the tables to make sure everyone was having a nice time and good experience. It creates a very caring, friendly and welcoming vibe in the place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and nothing was ever any trouble.

If all pubs were run like this, then they wouldn't be closing in the way that thay have been.

So in a nutshell ~ highly recommended and I look forward to going back.

Excellent stay here.
We were politely greeted by jerri, who was front of house and an excellent job he did. He escorted us to beautiful quiet rooms with ensuite and stocked with everything you need (tea,coffee etc).
The food and service in the bar/restaurant was also excellent with decent delicious portions and a quick service.
I will return here as I'd like to a try a few more things on the menu also the beds get you a good night's sleep 😴 thankyou jerri and team.
