I have been to this cafe a few times, the food is very good but it's the service I admire the most. Very friendly staff who obviously try very hard to satisfy their customers needs. This is what I look for when deciding where to place my custom.
The staff are warm and welcoming every time, proper old hillians, salt of the earth types. I see a couple of less than flattering reviews which seems to have been placed by people with very high expectations of what is essentially a small business trying to make it in the world.
Give this place a shot, help them help you, perhaps this level of customer service will become the norm one day but for now, the level of service provided and the efforts made in this business are exceptional.

If I could review negative stars, I would. Sooner this place closes down the better

UPDATE - It looks as if your spelling and attitude is as good as your food. I haven't stepped foot in your "cafe", but nowadays you don't have to as there are such thing as "deliveries". Take criticism, its part of business as I'm sure you'll learn.

We had a breakfast here for the first time this morning, I have to mark it 10/10, Staff was really nice, place was nice and clean and the breakfast was perfectly cooked and very well presented definitely the best breakfast in the area. Highly recommended 👌

This is exactly how you want a cafe to be.

The breakfast was great value (Inc toast and coffee/tea) and the food was lovely.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The dining room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Called the cafe at 8.15 to order 3 simple sandwiches, 2 hours later I call back to ask how long sandwiches are going to be as we had to be at a funeral at 11.30am. She then said the driver had broke down in the car when he was on the way, asked for my order again and said it will be 5 minutes. Showed up at 10.45, and had to turn away because we was going out the door. Won’t be ordering again. Absolutely disgraceful service and now having to go to the funeral hungry. Take a look at yourselves.

Ordered two sunday lunch for the first time and when i got home. The potatoes were hard and all the veg plus the meat was fatty and scraps.
When i called to complain the lady said she would replace for the following sunday…

So i had my hopes up but to my disappointment i got home again and had lumpy mash this time and hard vegetables. Chicken was dry and maybe one piece of beef was okay. My mrs didn’t even touch hers.

Shame I’ve had this experience as spent good money and also when back twice.
