Upmarket wine tasting. Sommelier Tom and his wine-panneled (!) room for an hour long tasting sessions are impeccable. For maximum enjoyment, book one of six rooms for an overnight stay and check out one of the local restaurants within walking distance.

Voted best B&B in the UK 2024 by Cesares seems such an understatement. This is a B&B that’s off the scale astonishing. ||Tom, Ashley, Dee, Phoebe & of course Ronnie 🐶 run the slickest high end place to relax and stay. Nothing is overlooked. ||I took 12 of us for a 2 night stay this weekend and it was exquisite. ||Tom’s food and sommelier knowledge is mind blowing 🤯 ||Ashley is not only stunning but her ability to understand each guest with immediacy is incredible. ||The place is kept immaculate by Dee who also looks after service of the 4 course breakfast. ||Newest team member Phoebe, has a work ethic much older than her years. ||Ronnie, just makes you feel happy and wish he spent a bit more time with guests.||Utterly wonderful and if you get the chance to stay, bloody well do it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 3 night stay at The Terrace. Tom and Ashley have completed a high quality renovation of a lovely old villa, reinstating it as a key landmark on the Ventnor seafront. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely sea view and each morning began with a delicious homecooked 4 course breakfast; we ate everything! Tom's wine tasting was pitched perfectly and was very enjoyable and unique. We went swimming in sea, enjoyed a boat ride and a trip to The Ventnor Arts Club - all whilst waiting for a puncture on our motorbike to be fixed. We'll be back!

Terrace Rooms and Wine is exceedingly stylish and extremely comfortable. This is not a cheap hotel, but it's excellent value for money. It's a painstakingly restored and converted old building, a Ventnor landmark with the exterior look of a great big Mediterranean villa and the interior of an elegant Victorian mansion. The bedrooms are handsome and luxurious, the bathrooms chic. All our three rooms had a sea view. The seafront was surprisingly quiet at night. Posh coffee machines and lovely teas in the rooms, big white towels, gorgeous pillows - all the things that make a stay special. Staff are enthusiastic and responsive. Breakfast is 'gourmet', but we are very much full at the end of the four courses! Fab home-baked bread. You can wander down to the beach in about 90 seconds via an ancient turnstile and an arch in the wall, or sit in the light-filled glass dining room overlooking the sea, or lounge on the long sun terrace below (which makes you feel as though you're in that Mediterranean villa).

We also had a fantastic sea view overlooking the promenade. Everything we needed was on hand. |The property is decorated to a very high standard and there are several rooms where you can relax and take in the sea air or read. It is all very relaxing. |After a very pleasant and quiet nights sleep. We enjoyed a lovely four course breakfast set overlooking the sea. |The staff are all very professional and friendly. A classy place run by a delightful, young staff. Weather was really foul but we dried out and really enjoyed ourselves. They even offered to turn on the central heating - in July - to thaw us out. Wine tasting was fun and informative. Breakfast was simple but interesting and like everyone else we wanted the bread recipe to find out the secret ingredient. Room was very comfortable and bathroom spacious. Yes highly recommended more like a private club than a b&b. Peter & Jane

Our room No 3 was perfect with stunning views from both windows. The hotel was immaculate with such a great attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was excellent.
