I had an incredible dining experience at The Thatch!From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

The service was outstanding—our server was attentive without being intrusive, and they were more than happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. The menu had a fantastic variety, and everything we ordered was delicious!

What truly stood out was the sense of community; it felt like everyone was part of one big happy family. I can’t wait to return to The Thatch and experience that welcoming vibe again. Highly recommend

We celebrated a special event at the Thatch , the special was an amazing Ragu, followed by sticky toffee and cheesecake, the service wonderful, place fantastic, - prices excellent. Book in advance, its well worth the trip. Can't recommend the place enough. Congratulations to the chef and owners .

Can't speak to the lodgings but I was really disappointed by the Sunday lunch here. At the time of writing the fetch has in excess of a 4.7 star Google rating. It turns out that this really doesn't mean anything any more. The staff were very abundantly friendly and helpful, no issues with the service whatsoever, however the menu is very dated and the quality of the food was really questionable. The roast potatoes seemed to be days old leathery, massive Yorkshire puddings were overcooked, meat gravy was brought on a vegetarian roast, and The Wellington tasted like oven cleaner. Your uncle would probably love it. I don't feel as though the thatch is keeping pace with the quality and offerings of what is a very competitive market. Loads of better options in the area.

Thoroughly impressed with the lunch we had today so much that it has prompted me to leave this review. The service, atmosphere and environment was excellent. The food though was tremendous. I had the beef massaman curry and it was genuinely one of the best curries I've ever had. My wife had the steak frites dish and was also equally impressed. We had 3 courses and I can honestly say each was as good as the other. I can't remember the last time I left a restaurant feeling overwhelmed with the whole experience and would highly recommend anyone to go. We were made to feel very welcome, were well looked after and the cost of our 3 courses and wine was very reasonable and worth every penny for the flavours alone! We will definitely be back again soon. It is fantastic that we have this venue within the village. Keep up the good work!

Food and service superb. So many times people give pub food five stars when it's average but this is well above. Beef was tender and plentiful and butternut squash and beetroot wellington was very tasty. Lemon and lime posset both tart and sweet and plum crumble had to be eaten without custard as it was so tasty. A wonderful Sunday lunch and attentive service, thank you.

Thatch is very posh place to dine in,yet their price is very reasonable,food is exellent. We had a great experience on our anniversary. Thanks to chef Nigel and to the owner,we cant forget our great time in the restaurant. We look forward to return and dine in again soon. I would highly recommend it to my friends and colleagues.
