Absolutely sublime. Incredibly reasonable prices with equally incredible portion sizes and menu choices. Beyond that, it’s a beautiful place both inside and out, with completely genuine friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend, gutted we live 300 miles away because we’d be here all the time otherwise! Props to the lovely lady behind the bar and the lad serving our table who rounded it up to a massive 11/10!

Food was really lovely and an amazing selection, even for vegetarians. Staff were very friendly and all in all was a lovely meal out for my mothers 70th birthday. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Found this place totally by mistake but what a find.

Not one of our party could manage the full plate of delicious home cooked food that was put in front of us.

A huge amount and they definitely do not charge enough.

If I remember where I am I'll definitely be back. Staff were friendly and fun.

First time there. Went for Sunday lunch with family. A good selection of meat but the beef was especially delicious, very large portions. Plenty of veg, roast potatoes were really good. We asked for more gravy and the staff were happy to oblige. All in all a lovely meal.

Went for a mid week lunchtime. The staff were prompt, attentive and welcoming. The portions are very generous and well priced. Both myself and my partner enjoyed our meals, particularly the homemade chips.

Second time here today, last time we called in during the week and service was a bit rushed as it was quiet, and the lad that served us failed to point out that there is a specials board and we settled for the curry on the menu, which to be honest was a bit watery and not very good.
However today's visit was the total opposite, quickly asked what we wanted to drink while we were looking at the menu having been informed about the specials board and the Sunday roasted dinners available with a choice of about 6 different meats.
We both went for the pork and black pudding stack on apple mashed potato with carrots beans and broccoli and a pink peppercorn sauce. (Plenty of it)
To follow the wife had apple and cinnamon crumble with custard huge portion, I had the chocolate orange cheesecake with vanilla icecream again a generous serving. All the food arrived quickly despite being very busy and mains were really hot, wife's dessert was also really hot, whilst mine was still nicely chilled.
I would definitely recommend calling in especially on the weekend, however they do get quite busy so possibly book in advance.
