Charming hotel with everything you could need. Pretty Georgian high street, gorgeous river and canal. Great location 3 minutes from the train station and yet really quiet.|We had a delicious evening meal with great service from the lovely Chloe. It was fab food and a good price.|The room was small but comfy with a little staircase to the bathroom which was immaculately clean. Breakfast was good too. A very good stay and I would highly recommend it.

We visited today for food, and we really enjoyed our visit, lovely inviting exterior and inside is very nice, it looks well looked after and upmarket, we thought the prices would be astronomical but after looking at the menu we were pleasantly surprised.
We chose the full English breakfast and it was £12.95, the whole plate was delicious.
The staff were very busy but it didn’t take long to arrive.
We sat outside in the sunshine and watched the world go by.
The high street has lots to see and do and we really enjoyed our day in Hungerford.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary over weekend. ||Superior room overlooked street outside and the town hall. Very comfortable. Bathroom delightful, the little touch to "seal" the toilet roll on the holder was nice. ||Secondary glazing on window kept noise levels to a minimum, and didn't hear a peep out of other guests.||Dinner was lovely, prices good for a 4* hotel. Would have been a nice touch had one of the staff congratulated us on our anniversary, or msg on a plate or similar, as my wife was surprised by the whole night away thing, but can't have it all.||Drink prices a little steep. Like one of the tips says, don't go here thirsty. We found the John O'Gaunt pub welcoming for after dinner drinks.||Parking super easy right behind hotel, but being so close to the station, arriving by train would be simple too.||Overall, we'd stay again at the Three Swans and eat in house too.

Sunday sunshine so decided to visit the 3 Swans with my son for some lunch. Parking was easy at the back of the hotel which already made us happy! We were immediately welcomed by staff one of whom I came to later realise was the General Manger herself. Despite how busy they were each staff member acknowledged us with a smile. Service at the bar was easy and we sat outside on the lovely terrace enjoying the sun. Food arrived promptly and was fresh & super tasty with a massive Yorkshire pud on top! I was in no rush to leave, very relaxed and happy. We will return and try the beef roast next time! Thanks Dot & her team!!

Just spent one night at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower/bath was particularly good with excellent shower pressure and lots of hot water. Towels in lovely condition and kept warm on the towel rail. The breakfast was excellent, Good quality produce and well presented. Thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Me and my boyfriend stumbled across this gem on Expedia on our way home from Thorpe Park yesterday. We were at the start of our 3 hour journey when we decided to look online for a place to stay. We were indecisive but I found hungerford on the maps and typed this into the search bar and to my surprise there was this lovely looking hotel for under £50!! Upon arrival we received exceptional service from Zoe who advised us where to park. We got such a warm, friendly vibe from her and there was even a little note in our room telling us to enjoy our stay. With my partner travelling for work, we’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and I this was by far one of the nicest we’ve been to. You could tell just walking into the room it was spotless and for the price we paid honestly stunning. We got a pint at the bar and sat in the lovely beer garden to catch the last bit of the sun and overall can say the whole place was a lovely atmosphere. I really hope I’ve got the lady on the desk’s name right because she was just so lovely and deserves the recognition🫶 |I honestly have nothing bad to say about our stay, if I ever find myself back in hungerford I would stay here again 100%. Thank you!

Cons: (mainly due to age of the building)
- Room is quite small.
- No Aircon and only a very loud fan
- Water pressure of the shower is not great either.
- many many fire doors (5 doors within very short distance to get to our room)

Pros: (inexperienced staff resulting in inconsistent service level)
- staff who booked room was thoughtful and arranged a cotbed for our two year old. But when we called the night before to confirm, reception told us there was no cotbed in the hotel...so we brought our travel cot after all...
- service was good in general but could be slow at times
