We came to Beeford for a weeks holiday and had a holiday house a 5 minute walk away from this pub. We went there on the Monday to watch the football and it was lovely and quiet with friendly staff! We then went again for dinner a couple nights later and was not disappointed:) the food was large portions and tasted lush! The landlady was a delight , super friendly and attentive. Dogs are also allowed almost everywhere which made it feel extra cozy. We will be stopping by again when we return:)

Worst Sunday lunch I think I've ever had. Myself and my wife both had the beef which was horrible. It was the most fatty, chewy beef ever. How it was curled on our plate didn't suggest it had been carved off a joint but more re-warmed in a pan. Should've known really, all other pubs in the area were fully booked but this had plenty of space. Says it all really. Won't be going back here.

This was a poor experience. Granted, we had a nice welcome and the place initially looked clean and inviting. The drinks came and the garlic mushroom starter which were lovely, and at that point we thought we was on to a winner. However, the main was disgusting. Two of us ordered the same pie main, and yet the pies were completely different, one was square and one was rectangle! The mash was disgusting, I accept some lumps, but I don’t accept raw boulders of potato in it. The veg was microwaved to an inch of its life and was served drowning in water. The other main, steak and salad with all the trimmings, was I am sure, braising steak; it was like chewing an old boot. The onion rings that were meant to be on the plate didn’t make an appearance! The chips were like the steak only not as tough. We decided to give to puds a miss. Went to the loo before leaving, the gents were disgusting, most of the previous meals were left around the toilet bowl!! And it stunk. Finally went to pay and the card machine wasn’t plugged in or charged…after a while he got it going and asked me how much was the bill. I was honest and told him the correct amount, In hindsight I should of knocked some off! We won’t be returning but kudos to the young lad serving with the little ear studd, he was working hard, was pleasant and professional, I don’t think him alone will stop this ship from sinking!

Lovely roast beef dinner, brilliant value for money. Staff were super helpful and friendly and we took our little dog in and dined in the library part of the pub. Will definitely visit again.

I wanted to try this place after everyone seemed so positive about the food.
Unfortunately my experiance was not as expected! The salad on both starter and main was drowned in dressing making it not good at all. The prawns were average, the steak was average, the mash tasted of powder, the sausages were not high quality butchers meat (which the price would suggest they are). Majorly over seasoned peppercorn sauce which was unedible for myself, shame really as the place does look alright. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Said to my partner as we drove past " We have never been in there do you fancy a drink" oh how I wish I had kept my mouth shut. The atmosphere as we walked in on a Sunday teatime was awful. Drunken locals at the bar who would not budge an inch. Staff not that friendly, we could not wait to get out. Give it a miss there are much better places on your way back to 'ull.

We called in at lunch time today. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The place was nicely decorated and felt comfortable. Although it was quite the customers that were in (locals) were really friendly and the chef was very welcoming and quiet a comedian.
The portions were quite large which for many is a bonus but we are quite small eaters and so had to leave quite a lot. For us the ideal thing would have been able to get a smaller portion or light bites as I hate wasting food.
Sunday meal looks an ideal choice
for us as they do a child's portion so we will be back to try that.
