DO NOT BOOK!!

First impressions the outside needed a bit of work but was willing to look past that. Until we walked in to our room (1) and the smell of mold and damp was unbearable. The walls were full of damp the wallpaper was coming away from the walls. The floor, shower, oven and microwave were all filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned between visits. Lucky enough we'd booked through Airbnb and found an alternative accommodation around the corner (LilyRose Hotel) which was very clean and accommodating.
Will not be returning.

Great location, however our room (3) was like a student let. It was small. Untidy. Filthy carpet. Mould in the shower. Heating didn't work. Heavy stains on the bed linen. Hole in the wall where someone had put their heal through it. Not happy at £75pn (with late checkout charge at £30). Do not recommend. Nasty.

As with earlier post outside very misleading. Inside clean and well presented. Room was as described, yes pillows weren’t great, but adequate for our 2 night stay for Goth weekend. We arrived early got a parking space on Main Street, 8hours for 7£ which was reasonable. Townhouse is a fantastic position near everything just not…if your infirm on your legs as lots of steps and hills…but that’s Whitby. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely ideal location for if you're staying at whitby for a couple of nights. Very clean room with all the necessities you'd need. Only downside was that the pillows were a bit flat, but other than that, absolutely perfect!

Don't be fooled by the appearance of property it is really nice inside. We stayed in room 1 and it was superb apartment all open plan fully equipped kitchen , lovely bathroom with large shower . You get a sitting room with smart tv sofas etc and nice bed all in open plan apartment lovely.|Bad bits itv needs tuning in on tv , kettle a bit small but honestly that's really nit picking.|We've stayed in whitby many times and the town house is the best by miles we loved it and definitely stay again .|Seen some of other comments on trip advisor and only 3 star reviews and can only speak for room 1 this place is 5 star 🌟 brilliant.

Room quality very good, only spoilt by a broken window handle that meant the window blew open and switched the heating off. Get that sorted and I would give the room 4 stars, as the stairs to the 5th star were a test with the luggage - my bad for not booking a lower access room.

Paid £53 for room 5. Lovely decorated room and it was clean. I was worried when I read previous reviews but I can highly recommend this place. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Whitby and this was perfect for a couple. Easily accessible if you want to check in later than 10.30 as main door and room door open via code.

Very basic. A view of a carpark and a skip out of the window. No one there to answer any questions. We were given a car parking space 10 minutes walk away and was charged £45.00 for the 3 days we were there. After talking to a traffic warden we were told we shouldn't have paid as we have a blue badge and could have just parked in the street outside. So incorrect information was given to us after ringing the helpline. The room was clean but the hairdryer didn't work. The TV had limited channels even on free view. I feel it is Definitely for younger cleontel.
