Myself and a friend stayed on a Friday evening travelling after work. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome by Gail who showed us around the B&B and to our room. We had everything we needed in the room which was spacious and our own ensuite bathroom. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We had arranged in advance use of the hot tub for that evening and had the most relaxing night outdoors after having been shown to a lovely pizza takeaway and where the 2 local bars are. Our breakfast was lovely the next morning we had granola and yoghurt followed by scrambled egg and toast all of which were delicious πŸ˜‹. I would definitely consider the Tree-House again for another relaxing night with friends.

We stayed here for two nights in July 2019. We struggled to find the place - for a start, it is not in Ballymena but about seven miles away, and the B&B has no signage at all. Only eventually got it by the photo on Google maps. When we asked about this, we were told - oh, she has only had it since last October. Plenty of time to get a sign of some sort up. We only communicated with Gail, the landlady, by text message until the next morning. Bedroom was adequate - comfy bed but only one pillow each. Toiletries in shower room were big bottles obviouslyused by other guests. Breakfast was very basic: cereals, make your own toast/tea/coffee and a small hot plate with bacon, sausage, beans and scrambled egg already cooked on it. The second morning there was only three rashers of bacon between the two of us. Some fruit and yoghurt available. It was cheap though, so we probably got what we paid for.

Really clean and welcoming B&B. Gail was a fantastic host and served a lovely breakfast! Bedrooms were great and have Netflix and boardgames. The hot tub was a real treat!! Only 2 mins from local shops.

We arrived at The Tree House on 21st July 2019 for a two night stay, having booked with Booking.com. The reviews and rating indicated that this was a hotel, it offered Full English / Irish breakfast.|We had problems locating the property, it is in the village of Portglenone, some 8 miles from Ballymena. The property has no signage to indicate that it a hotel or even offers accommodation. There is also no house number.|We met the owner on arrival and were shown to our room. The owner brought us some milk for our early morning tea.||After that we did not see another human being, neither staff or other guests, this in the height of the holiday season. The room could only be described as adequate, no where to place toilet essentials, the β€˜wardrobe’ was a rail.||On our first morning we went to the breakfast room. We had been left a note. The cooked breakfast had been precooked and left wrapped in tinfoil in hot plates. It was dried up to say the least.|On the second morning, again no sign of any staff or other guests, we had been left a hand written note regarding the breakfast. The cooked breakfast, in the the same tin foil and on hot plates, consisted of two sausages, a single tiny scrap of bacon, a few dried up baked beans, and a small amount of dried up scrambled egg. This was for two people.|There was no person available to discuss this with, indeed there was no person we could have contacted in the event of an emergency.||We reviewed this on the Booking.com website. Our review was similar to this factual review, it contained not one positive comment about the property, yet it was given a rating of 7.8 by Booking.com.||There are a number of questions we would like to ask, including: |How can this property be classed as a hotel, is it actually registered as a hotel. If so why is there no signage indicating this.||We verify that this is a true reflection of our experience. We are experienced travellers, having visited more than 70 countries. Surely this β€˜hotel’ must be investigated.||Richard Atwell & Cynthia Atwell OBE|||
