Had the mini breakfast, it was perfect! High quality, fresh and delicious.

The dirty chai latte was authentic and had a wonderful aroma to it.

Beautiful cafe, very modern with a warm feel. The food was great and so many options! Staff are super friendly and everything is very reasonably priced. Family owned and ran, you couldn’t ask for anything more. I would definitely recommend and come back again 💕

Absolutely recommend trying out this Café. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the Full English Breakfast and Savoury Waffle (Bacon and Maple Syrup), which were both presented beautifully. The Full English has a nice variety of options with extras being reasonably priced and worth every penny. The waffle was thick and fluffy with the bacon rashers tasting perfect in combination with the maple syrup. In terms of drinks we tried the smoothies which both tasted heavenly. Our wait for the food was around 5-10 minutes and worth every second. The staff were extremely friendly and professional greeting us with smiles and jokes from time to time. We will absolutely be coming back here again

Excellent value for money full cooked breakfast (£12) with 'proper' sausage, bacon and pretty sure they were Heinz baked beans. Top notch coffee from Bean Smitten too! Well worth the journey

I come to the trough almost every day for either just a drink or to have something yummy to eat! Me and my children absolutely love it here! Such a friendly place with chatty staff and always very helpful and kind to myself and my children, we’ve had mini English breakfasts and lots of waffles along with coffees and milkshakes and have never had a bad experience! I absolutely recommend this cafe to anyone and everyone! X

The waffles are amazing!!!! And the sizes of the blackberries they were as big as the strawberries, the smoothies are so tasty, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food menu isn't badly priced at all, I would happily recommend my family members to dine here as me and my friend had such a lovely experience. Thank you Trough team 😀

The whole experience was just awful to be honest. When we got in, the girl serving was rude. She didn’t have a clue what she was doing. I ordered an Açai bowl and I have never experienced such bad service. It took them 30 minutes to make it and by the time it got to me it had all melted and was just liquid. The size of the bowl it was put in was ridiculous considering it was only about a quarter of the way full. The granola was stale and chewy. The “mixed berries” on top were just blueberries. I also ordered a peach iced tea, was not sweet at all. Tasted really bitter. The ladies behind us ordered 2 bacon sandwiches on brown bread. The lady who was making them (an older woman) bought out one on white bread. The woman then said she requested brown to which she said “fine I’ll remake it then”. She then came out saying she had no brown bread left so they had no choice but to have white. She then bought one out and the ladies actually ordered two. Was ridiculous to be honest. The girl on the till was at the coffee machine and muttered to herself “what’s a cappuccino?”. These people have clearly had little to no training. Wouldn’t go here again and would not recommend. — In regards to your very unprofessional reply, this is not a revenge review. I was going to post it when he was working there but I didn’t want you to sack him because of it. But yes, as one of your other members of staff is clearly incompetent and another had walked out. I did write the review I had originally intended. Have a lovely day and enjoy the sun!

Must have been having an off day today.? 2 people near us walked out leaving their coffee untouched saying to us it was undrinkable ! we order 2 latte coffees and 2 toasted T Cakes,waited 1/2 hour at an uncleared table for coffee which when it did arrive was excellent! however the T Cakes arrived after chasing up and requested table to be cleared Both T cakes arrived in a part frozen state and were returned to the staff. After a 45 min total wait they were returned just about toasted and edible! The place was for some reason a bit chaotic and certainly room for improvement in the future hopefully.
