The Udder Farm shop and restaurant was recommended so decided to go for a drive on a Sunday morning and have some breakfast and a look round - we werent disapointed.
Myself and my husband had the Udder Breakfast with an iced latte and caramel iced latte - it was lovely and the staff friendly and approachable.
Afterwards we had a look around the farm shop and purchased some quiche (slice looks lovely and a generous size (not tried it yet) and a creme egg scotch egg).
Lovely shop and butchers - we will certainly visit again however we will book next time as although we got a table it was clearly popular , so much so that they stopped breakfast at around 11.10 leaving people the option of coffee and cake which i must say the cakes did look nice but people did leave as they wanted breakfast , also the staff were asking people to share tables (personally i wouldnt want to do that myself and i would feel awkward saying no as i wouldnt feel comfortable but luckily we werent asked).
All in all a lovely breakfast.

I met friends at the Udder Farm Shop for a cream tea, which was delicious. There was an offer on, two for £10 which made it even better! It's pleasant with plenty of room in the large restaurant, there is seating outside as well. The staff are friendly and efficient. The farm shop is lovely, well stocked with local produce and beautiful gifts.

The farm shop is fantastic but what a poor experience in the coffee shop!

Our first trip here, we arrived just after 1:30 on a Saturday and were told they can't do any food off the menu other than cakes off the counter. "Not even a sandwich?" - apparently not.

But then the table next to us got a sandwich!!

Asked if we could buy a roll in the adjoining Deli and eat it in the cafe with the drinks we purchased in the cafe, we were told 'no - but you can take them outside'.

This experience has really taken the shine off our day out today - very disappointing experience.

I could have spent endless hours pouring over everything in the shop. It’s a beauty to behold in the eyes of an American. There are assortments of wonderful pastries, cakes, cookies and breads. All types of condiments and sauces. An extensive meat counter with varieties of meat and fish (I regret to say my sausage and bacon from there were immediately seized upon my return to the US). Of course there are cheeses, spreads, pate and a great frozen section of many items including ready meals.
The staff was friendly and the items I was able to enjoy (like the smoked trout terrine and a steak & kidney pie) were absolutely amazing

Great experience as a place, but also in the restaurant and in the store I would like to find things of very good quality, not just the basic one.
The bread for breakfast can be one from a local bakery not a frozen baguette or the store could also sell organic milk in cartons not in plastic bottle or a yogurt in a jar not just plastic buckets...etc.
Overall it was good with skilled and kind staff.

What an absolutely wonderful cafe and restaurant. Stopped off en route to Cornwall and has a sandwich. Great quality food and a great price. Very friendly staff and the whole place even the farm shop was 100% wheelchair accessible. Well worth a stop
