Absolutely delicious feast and despite it being lunchtime on a sunny weekend day, and only 10 mins from the packed tourist traps at the bottom of the Gorge, it wasn’t too busy at all. Absolutely hidden gem! Very friendly and helpful staff. Super tasty home-baked treats. The salads were all varied and really flavoursome.

Wow! What a fantastic place this is. The food is amazing and is open daily breakfast and lunch. This place is owned by the Bath arms just across the road and have just opened an early evening menu,(Friday and Saturday evening) in the village bakery, fabulous Italian food with fantastic salads, so many options to choose from. We would eat here every day if we could!!

This is my favourite place to go in Cheddar for a coffee and food. Their food is freshly cooked and locally sourced. They can be very popular. You can also purchase some of their food selection in their lovely bakery store. The place is small, so it can fill up fast. They have a gorgeous little garden with more seating out the back and a small parking area across the road opposite them, next to the Bear Inn.
The staff are wonderful and the place is always clean and tidy.
A must visit if your in the area 🙂

Food looked good but was overpriced for very cheap ingredients. Sausage roll was made with cheap meat and grissly. Lacked flavour. Dry as a bone cake! Expect more for £3.50 a slice. It was clearly very old. Had takeaway which we took home (15 min drive) else I would have returned in person to speak to them.

Best cooked breakfast around. We used to visit another main Street café but this exceeds them in every way. The cafe is quaint and offers great service with a cosy atmosphere. Have visited on quite a few occasions and am now a regular.

Superb food (especially the coronation chicken jacket potato) at a very reasonable price. Main indoor seating was busy, but plenty of tables outside, with removable covers if wet. A very pleasant experience.

The coffee is normally first class but I did have one the other day that was average. I guess it's down to the barista and I think they only put a single shot of espresso in my flat white.

I give five stars anyway. I can't deduct a star for one average coffee when the other hundred have been great.
