Went for food here at the weekend and found the whole experience lacking…..

Given that the menu is 80% Italian, it might be useful to let customers know that the place is pretty much an Italian restaurant - which I didn’t see on any signage so it might be worth letting customers know that.

The service was good and the food was ‘ok’, although my burger came with clearly ‘out of the freezer’ cheap chips,’which for the price of have expected better, or at least better frozen chips.

My pal had BBQ chicken that was lazily thrown on the plate and looked like it had been cooked on a George Foreman grill before drowning in BBQ sauce.

In all, it lacked effort and presentation and without a doubt you can get better for similar prices -‘not least next door.

C- Must do better, oh, and if you are aspiring to be an Italian restaurant / bistro - it might be worth letting people know the limitations of the menu in your signage etc

Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Food is good. Breakfast menu is quite limited, but you can get a full English. Location is ideal, and not far from the centre of Shanklin town where you can get a bus onwards.

We were booked at a different hotel,but the food was awful,so we walked a little further along the esplanade and found this lovely BandB,we ate here for our evening meal for our remaining stay at Shanklin. The staff were amazing ,very friendly and they couldn't have been more helpful,the food was delicious and
reasonably priced . So if you travel by car,consider booking a room at the Waterfront inn ,Shanklin ,lovely people and lovely place,dietary needs catered for and dog friendly,well done all at the Waterfront Inn .

My wife and I stopped in here for an evening drink. We sat outside and the vibe was great, with some nice indie tunes playing on the speakers. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Friendly Staff , Great Breakfast , Easy parking , Great location . Stayed for 6 nights in September, must admit the weather was great during the stay, which always helps a visit . Vincent was great from the first meeting , helping with a parking app that did not want to work for me . ||We had 3 evening meals in the Waterfront during the stay which were all delicious . I chose the smallest bedroom in the hotel ,would advise you to choose a larger one . But I did not really spend much time in it other than sleeping . Its an old building so came with a few quirks , the shower was interesting one of those that goes from cold to scalding in a second ,I worked out the setting very quickly. || Great break in a flat nice setting just across from the beach . many thanks to all the staff for contributing to a great holiday . .

Really nice food and cocktails in a great location. Helpful, friendly staff. We sat outside on a lovely evening and enjoyed the view while we ate our dinner. I had a delicious paella, my daughter had a pasta dish and my granddaughter followed her standard choice of chicken nuggets, and they were good ones! We enjoyed a cocktail with our food one of which was non-alcoholic. Will happily go back there next time I’m in Shanklin.

A real find on shanklin beach, top food, better service, not commercial, a venue of its own||Food was awesome and happy hour is a plus, actually more 2 hours…….cocktails are brilliant ||Get down here, you won’t be disappointed…………………………………..
