One good scrub away from perfection. When I arrived I was aghast - the booking in process was a bit chaotic, and I had trouble finding assistance. The room was huge and well equipped, but distinctly grubby - cobwebs in the corners, the carpet needed a clean, and the shower, which lacked any shelf, still had the previous users empty shampoo bottle wedged against the wall. There was no shower screen, so it was impossible to stop water bouncing off me into the bathroom, and soaking the floor. I was almost ready to leave straight away, but it was getting late to find somewhere else. By morning, I had been beguiled by this quirky place and had changed my mind completely. The huge, clean comfortable bed gave me one of the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had; the shower, despite the missing screen, was huuuuuge and had perfect temperature water, there were lots of clean soft towels and a generous supply of toiletries, and the tech in the room was amazing - really made a huge difference. Touch controls for the lights, shower and perfectly positioned bedside lamps, and easily regulated room temperature so I was able to sleep in a pleasantly cool room, really made a huge difference. The breakfast was delicious and filling, and I loved encountering the random birds and animals that met me around the entrance. Altogether a charming experience, and so reasonably priced that I would happily return.

Room was great we stayed in a 2 bed Lodge with hot tub. Lady on the front desk was lovely and very welcoming. Staff at breakfast just seemed to not want to be there. the breakfast was not what I expected there were a few pastry to choose from toast cereal and tea & coffee they offered eggs scrambled poached on toast. And the tables were only cleared and not wiped down.

I booked a room with a hot tub and was greeted at reception by a very friendly lady who’s service was exceptional, I was given the key to room C22, if you are elderly or have difficulty walking, I would advise driving to your lodge as it is a little bit of a walk but we don’t drive and it was absolutely fine, the room was very modern, spacious, clean and welcoming with petals on the bed and two towels which were Swans.||The decking area with hot tub offers beautiful views of the water and the hot tub is fantastic, very warm, clean and sizeable. ||During the day we went on to the restaurant for a couple of drinks which are very reasonably priced for a hotel, £10 for four bottles and we took them on the outdoor area which again provided stunning views of all the fishing lakes.||At night we had a couple of drinks on the decking area and sat in the hot tub, it’s so peaceful with the water. The decking areas are very private and nobody can see you and you cannot see anybody else.||While we were in the hot tub we thought the jets were not as powerful and when we were checking out the maintenance man came and apologised and showed us how to change them for next time, he was a lovely bloke and another fantastic service. ||I would and will 100% be returning, I only live twenty minutes down the road in Coventry and this is a hidden gem, the most relaxed we have felt in years.||The reviews that say the place is untidy are just not true. It would be impossible to keep all decking maintained as you would have to paint it every single day.||They also have a fantastic little farm with friendly goats, some ostriches and one of the biggest pigs I have ever seen.||A truly stunning getaway. Thank you for the lovely service. Next time I think I will book direct through the property as you get more benefits.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Waterfront Lodges and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The room was amazing—spotlessly clean, modern, and brimming with tech gadgets, which I absolutely loved.

One of the highlights of my stay was the charming little farm animals, particularly the goats. They were incredibly tame and super friendly, adding a delightful touch to the experience.

The only downside was the heat and humidity in the room. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning or fan in my room. While I understand this isn't typically necessary in the UK, my stay coincided with an unusual heatwave, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Waterfront Lodges and would highly recommend it, especially for tech enthusiasts and animal lovers!

We arrived yesterday 8th September, to be told that booking.com had made an error on our booking, we believed we had booked the lakeside lodge with hot-tub but apparently we did not, so after paying an upgrade fee, we were given the keys to C25.| |Upon inspection, the place was filthy, the paintwork tired and there were cobwebs and insects littered all over the place.| |The first thing we noticed as we arrived was the smell in the lodge, very damp and dusty, but assumed as it was near the waterfront this might account for it, but it never improved while we were there.| |We were led to believe that there was a restaurant on site, only to be told that this had closed over a year ago but that there were plenty of places to eat in the next village. Our plan was not to drive, but to have a couple of days simply relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the lake. So that was part of our stay ruined.| |It's very clear that your photos, were taken a long time ago, the place is in dis-repair, looks like a farm yard with building materials everywhere, weeds and just general clutter you would associate with a farm yard, not a B&B.| |After we returned from our drive out for food, we decided to give the hot tub a try. It did not work correctly, we called reception who informed us that the person in charge of the hot-tubs had gone home and that the receptionist was not allowed to touch them. So we tried to make do but the water was filthy, with scum around a round the water line which was disgusting!| |So to bed. There are Alexa’s and fancy knobs and switched all over the place, but no instruction manual on what they did or how to use them. We managed to get the TV on in the bedroom nearest the lake and about 15 mins into the film we were watching, the TV started to increase the volume, and then we were unable to use the remote at all. We even swapped out the batteries from one of the other remotes, but this did not work, so no only did we not have a hot-tub to use we couldn’t watch TV either. We tried to sleep, but for some unexplained reason, the lights in the hall kept switching on! I was terrified, I thought someone was coming in! and at 5am for some unknown reason, after finally getting about an hours sleep, the TV came blaring on. I think I got a total of 3 hours sleep!.| |We got up and went for breakfast.. the ‘restaurant’ I use the term lightly, stank the minute you walked it, the tables were sticky and it was dirty! The continental breakfast was just thrown in a corner with a help yourself fridge full of fruit and milk and juice which again needed a good clean.| |We brought all of this to the attention of the male on reception, we informed us that he knew we had an issue with the hot-tub but said it couldn’t be dirty as he only cleaned it the day before, which I very much doubt. His reasoning for the lights coming on and off all night were SPIDERS!, and was surprised there was no handbook telling us how all the gadgets worked, with no explaination for the TV.| |My husband and I decided to go out for a drive, and decided upon our return we would pack and leave. The whole place made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable, it made me feel unsafe and anxious especially when we returned, we found that somone had been in the lodge, I assume to look at the hot tub and left the door unlocked therefore leaving all our belongings at risk!

Nice and tranquil, away from the hustle and bustle. Lodges are fairly basic looking from the outside but very well appointed on the interior with wireless lighting and smart TV. Showers are great with remote control and ensuite is large and nicely finished. Stayed while travelling for business (twice) but if you're looking for somewhere with kids then this may work.

Continental breakfast with lots of choice. Lady on reception very helpful. Great stay, would recommend.

It does what it says on the tin and is good value for money. It's a large room with beds and sofa, and the ability to sit beside the water was a nice addition.||The room was great and breakfast was a self-service continental. ||Good for solo business travellers, for a one or two-night stay. ||Tech was good but a shame no ITV to watch the football and the bath wasn't especially hot. Otherwise great.
