The Watermill Pub in Reigate is a lovely spot with a relaxed atmosphere and some truly stunning views — especially if you manage to grab a table outside. Just a heads up: outdoor seating is in high demand on weekends, so booking in advance is a must!

There’s plenty of seating both indoors and out, and ample parking on-site, which makes it really convenient for families or larger groups. The vibe is calm and welcoming, making it a great place for both couples and families.

We had the steak and Caesar salad — the food was average, but satisfying. What really stood out was the kids’ menu. Our little one is a notoriously picky eater, but she absolutely loved her meal, which is always a win in our books.

It’s worth noting that the kitchen does get quite busy on weekends, so food can take a while. That said, the staff were friendly and clearly doing their best to keep up with the rush — we appreciated their effort and positive attitude.

Overall, The Watermill is a great place to unwind, especially if you're after good views, a family-friendly setting, and a chilled afternoon in the countryside. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a wonderful Friday lunch at The Watermill. Front of House was very welcoming and showed us to a lovely table overlooking Box Hill on the terrace. Warm and personal service from Paula throughout the meal. The Fish and Chips were splendid, particularly the accompanying tartare sauce and curry ketchup. The wood fired vegetables was delicious and filling. Sticky toffee pudding was perfectly balanced. The terrace was full with parties of friends, couples, families all having a very relaxed and happy time.

This was already my favourite pub but we had a particularly lovely visit yesterday. Not only was the food and drink sensational (the Thermidor lobster crumpet, small plate in particular!) and view as stunning as always but I particularly enjoyed my conversation with Paula about positive manifestation. (SPEC!) I needed that conversation yesterday! Paula, not only really looked after us, but clearly she’s a super special person too! She brings an even greater energy to an already great pub.

Elaine our server was amazing, kind and really sweet! My seabass was spectacular. Really enjoyed the Watermill. Great view of quiet nature and hills from the lovely deck. A beautiful tavern.

What a fantastic lunch we had at The Watermill with our friends! Every staff member we came across was friendly, helpful and really helped to make the whole experience special. Meeting the beautiful dog Rocco in the bar on the way to the toilets was an absolute pleasure too. What a gorgeous boy! As a vegetarian, would highly recommend-great food and plenty of choices too! Thanks especially to our lovely waitress who took great care of us, I think she was called Elaine (lovely blonde Irish lady who encouraged us all to have a Guinness 🤭)

Stumbled upon this gastro on a whim one afternoon. No reservation made and was able to be seated in under 5 minutes. Great view of Box Hill from the window seating. Outside seating available when the weather is right.
Ordered the Ham and cheese toastie (which came with a butternut squash soup) with a side of garlic butter tenderstem broccoli. And another dish of Fish and chips.
Quality of the food was excellent and portion sizes were more than generous.
Seperate space for dining and the bar area and low level music playing in the background. Great atmosphere and service provided by the staff. A little on the pricey side for a lunch, but worth the extra spending.

The Watermill has always been my go-to pub in the summer, but this was my first time visiting during winter, and I’m so glad I did! I booked a Christmas brunch with friends, and the entire experience was fantastic.

From the start, Daniel made us feel incredibly welcome. He had thoughtfully booked us a lovely table, keeping in mind that we had three toddlers with us. His friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease. Peter, who served us, was equally amazing—so kind, patient, and attentive, even amidst the inevitable chaos of having little ones at the table. He went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Offered to click our pictures as well.

The food quality was great as always, and the staff’s warmth and attentiveness really stood out. To top it off, they had a charming Christmas market in the outdoor area, with lots of cute things to browse and buy.

Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I can’t wait to come back again—whether in summer or winter! Highly recommend The Watermill for its great food, friendly staff, and cozy ambiance.

We had dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Food was great, staff attentive but not at all overbearing. The complimentary glass of champagne each was much appreciated! It's rare that we have a night out so it was nice to be able to enjoy it so much.
