We had a great stay at the Wellington Heifer. It’s conveniently located within 10 minutes of the A1 on the edge of a sleepy village with views over pretty countryside. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was generous and included everything we needed - and more. We particularly enjoyed our dinner. A bonus was being able to access a charging point for the car. We hope to return soon. Highly recommended!

Great hotel we went to a wedding close by. Lovely spacious room. Very comfortable bed and great facilities |Fantastic staff very welcoming could not do enough for us. Breakfast was so good crispy bacon mmm.|Very good value for money have stayed before and would definitely stay again

Excellent hosts, lovely room, well sound proofed from the traffic. Good car parking facilities. No tv in the bar, which we really liked. We were able to have ovely conversations.|Good choice of excellent ales.|Breakfast was lovely, and plentiful.

Lovely meal here on the way home from a Thorpe Perrow. Sunday menu... Great choice of food and no problem altering the recipes to cope with certain intolerance. Would recommend.

Excellent stay beautiful room, clean, |Touring UK and Republic of Ireland without doubt best stay, would have loved to have stayed longer. Helpfull staff, nothing was a problem. Well done Wellington Hiefer. Bonus off street parking as well

Excellent food, great friendly service, absolutely would stay again.|Did I say the the food was brilliant? Not your standard pub grub.|The prawn starter was sumptuous & the Venison cooked to perfection, the accompanying veg etc, went perfectly with it. Wish the place was nearer home!

Lovely return visit to the Wellington Heifer. Very comfortable stay, comfy beds, spotlessly clean room. Food was delicious, beautifully presented. Warm, welcoming stay & friendly staff. Look forward to a return visit later in the year.

Overall excellent meal. Venue is really cosy and welcoming, and the staff are great likewise.
Food was excellent, both fresh and tasty and served. My only reason for giving 4 and not 5 is the portions. I wasn't expecting all-you-can-eat, as clearly it's a high quality restaurant, however the main course of the set menu was honestly barely enough for a child. Tagliatelle with peas and salmon, and honestly couldn't taste the salmon as there was so little in it, despite an already meagre portion. Disappointing, bearing in mind reasonable, but quite top end prices for this type of dining.
Otherwise, the food was of excellent quality, and cannot fault the service and venue.
