What can I say, how lovely is this pub! We ended up getting dropped off here miles away from where we were staying on our campsite. We had a lovely 2 for 1 fish n chips meal and then on asking what buses run back to where we were going, which there weren’t any the landlord offering to give us a lift back. Highly recommend, lovely place and friendly atmosphere.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Dirty plates on tables all around the pub upon entrance. Beds had not been changed from previouslyguest, carpet dirty and hair all over the toilet seat. It was disgusting. I refused there. Staff were helpful over the phone.

Went in for a nice Sunday roast, but the food was below par! The beef was very thick chunky slices, the gravy was just congealed lumps, the broccoli was old and had turned yellow, the roast potatoes were anemic and should have been called boiled potatoes possibly one of the worst roasts I have had

Paid for the room online. Arrived tired, jetlagged at around 6pm. Owner/landlord outright refused to honor the payment and proof of payment and confirmation number. He stated that all payments are on arrival. I paid for it again. My employer was incredulous and in total disbelief. After many calls requesting an invoice to prove my payment to my employer, I simply gave up. This place needs to move to our decade, not 1950s. Room was ok. Beware, they advertise that all their rooms are en-suite. They are not and had to use 2 dirty bathrooms at the end of a hall. Never again!

Experience of the first outside room was damp and mouldy, shower tray not clean. Broken window and bathroom door handle. Requested to change rooms, second room was not much better, mouldly and damp smell, black around shower tray. Booked for many nights left after one night as it was awful smell in the room. Not what is shown on the websites.

I have moved into the area and bought my father down from London and decided to try a few local pubs. This is by far the most welcoming the Bar lady who told us she was Charlotte was so friendly engaging in conversation with ud and seemed generally interested. Even when the locals came she knew them by name amd nothing was too much trouble. This is exactly the service you want from a bar lady. Highly recommended

Disappointing that the owners didn’t do anything to deal with the two drinkers who were being abusive and threatening to multiple other customers, instead telling the ones being threatened to calm down. I hope this isn’t a regular pattern of how they deal with this kind of behaviour.

Rented a room but I left within 1 hour because what they don't show or don't tell in their adverts is .... you have no signal at all for your mobile network and of course no wifi. Will never go there again.
