Filthy and rude!||We was sent directions from the host of how to get there, however these was not correct and we struggled to find the B&B. We called the number given to ask for directions, an abrupt rude woman who wasn’t very welcoming.||We arrived in the dark, the patio path from car park to building was not lit and was very uneven and difficult to walk on. We was greeted in the car park and led to the building to find a scrunched dirty wet beach towel in the doorway. Look up above our bedroom door in the hall and you’ll see the smoke alarm with no battery😳|We was showed our room (family room) and on first glance, the room looked nice. We were then shown the breakfast area and asked if we could have breakfast at 8.30 along with other guests ‘that way and can do you all at once!’ (The hosts words not mine). She said she was cooking our breakfast, but then I noticed a dirty plaster on her finger, which I would have thought should have been blue (food prep and handling) and not flesh coloured? I didn’t trust not to find that plaster in my scrambled egg!||So onto the room itself…… lots of things to report here, bear with me!||The biscuits in the room were a year out of date! |The tea/coffee making area had a lot of tea/coffee stains!|One of the curtain tie backs was missing it’s ‘ball end’, I found the ball end in a drawer.|Behind the chair in the corner of room was what looked like a pillow case. |Under the sheet on the bed was a CURTAIN laid down, very odd. The bed sheets didn’t have that lovely laundered feeling, I suspect they hadn’t been changed since last guest.|The whole room was so dusty, pictures above bed, clock, tv, headboard, under furniture and cobwebs everywhere! |There was trees growing through the window edges, not all windows closed properly because of the foliage.|The toilet didn’t flush and kept filling with water to the brim 🫤|The tap by the basin was very loose and wobbly. There was no cold water from this tap to brush my teeth in the morning, only a trickle of hot water.||Breakfast…. Oh dear|So we headed for breakfast at the time told you us. The breakfast room was empty and the host nowhere to be seen. I thought we would have been greeted by the host as she knew what time we had booked.|So we sat at the table and waited… and waited. Whilst we waited we noticed crumbs on the placemats, filthy glasses and cups. None of the cutlery or crockery matched, and what was there was of poor quality. We got fed up of waiting and left the B&B.

Unkept but still somehow adorable ! The host was welcoming , helpful and a good host . The food was good too . Unfortunately this place is run down , dirty under the beds , I think the upkeep has fell way behind . But id strangely still fo back ! It's such a shame , it could be a gem . It's peaceful with a lovely sitting lounge and peaceful lit garden . I have to say though that everything looks far from its pictures we were clearly taken some years ago and the property had seen better days. The garden is scruffy . The host tries her best though . Such a shame .

My family and I had a lovely overnight stay at the White Dove B&B whilst visiting friends in local area. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and the garden was fantastically equipped with games and activities for our two little ones. Breakfast was delicious - cooked to perfection with a great range of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices and hot drinks. Our children did not want to leave. Thanks again for the hospitality.

We have just stayed 4 days, it was a family break there was 5 of us, 1 a baby. Daughter and two children slept every night in Bell tent and loved it. One of the nights very windy &wet. Due to weather did not manage a bbq but we were also eating out and visiting family locally. Everything was there if we had managed to fit it in. The jacuzzi was great and plenty of towels available to dry off afterwards.
My husband and I were not tent lovers we found out 🤣🤣 so Sheila found us a room in the house for our second night, then moved us to another room for last two nights. Beds very comfy,
Sheila is a brilliant hostess who goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy.
I am not saying the place is 5 star, plumbing is having work done on it. But Sheila really made our stay worthwhile.

I was very disapointed with The White Dove B&B. The car park was a complete mess with a smelly smouldering rubbish fire at one end of the quite small parking area. Access was extremely difficult due to the owners car partly blocking the entrance. When I returned after dark there was no outside lighting whatsoever to show the way from the parking area to the B&B entarnce. Extremely treacherous. Despite a strict no smoking rule I was sure I could detect the smell of stale cigarette smoke ingrained in the building and bedroom. Beware, the bedroom floor is smooth shiny tiles and slippery if wet. There was absolutely no floor covering so it was very cold to walk on. Not even complimentary disposable slippers. Also stated that there is a nathrobe, there isn't. Although the toilet flushed well the result did not flow away for several minutes and left much "residue" in the bowl. Glad I don't have to clean it! Hand basin tap was loose and very wobbly. Hot water was at best just warm. The garden view is a joke. Very scruffy and full of derilict yurts or tents. The bed was uncomfortable and quite lumpy, the pillows being thin and appeared to be quite old. Television did not work on most channels. While there is air conditioning in the bedroom there is no heating. I was supplied with a small oil filled electric radiator which just about coped. This was mid October, not even winter! On the plus side the WiFi was good and the breakfast was fine The host was pleasant and friendly. However until these points are addressed I can only recommend that this B&B be avoided. Not worth anything like the £100 cost per night.

Sheila is an amazing host. The rooms are lovely I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a some time away. Me and my partner booked for a romantic night and it was just perfect

Fabulous host, the lovely Sheila, made both my Daughter and I so very welcome, so spotlessly clean and very warm and cosy. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. beautiful surrounding area. Nothing was to much trouble during our stay with White Dove, excellent accommodation and host. can highly recommend. Thank you Sheila. x

Wonderful warm and generous welcome at the Dove B&B and the accommodation (Bell tent and jacuzzi) were quirky and really enjoyable. A spacious version of glamping handy as the weather was unsettled.
The noise of the A17 was a bit of a distraction for us (ear plugs needed at night) but couldn't be heard in the actual B&B which was very cosy and comfortable (we used the shower & bathroom in there).
For those going to the showground it's ideal but the road is not really walkable, quite dangerous, so driving needed.
