Had a meal for 4. Very busy, service was slow but fair given how busy it was. Food was good quality, lasagne, mixed grill. Price was good and menu had plenty of choice. A small thing but the cutlery was so small, it was more suitable for a child.

8 of us went for lunch on 18th December 2024. The pub was packed! I could not fault the food, I had the pork belly and it was more than I could eat. One of my friends had the fish n chips. The fish was HUGE the largest I have seen. Prices were very reasonable. Service was a bit slow but considering how many people were eating I'm not surprised, I wouldn't have liked to work in the kitchen! We all enjoyed our food and I will return. Congratulations to all the staff.

I have been here many times over the years, and the food has always been not great. It's been a similar menu for a long time, and it is a shame as the pub is very nice to look at. I went here the other day for a quick coffee, and neither I nor members of my family were that impressed with the blunt and slightly rude staff, I understand that they had a lot of christmas meals to deal with, but still feel it makes sense to make everyone feel welcome. Also the mens toilet hasn't had a lock for a long time, which is just strange, no one wants to walk in on some bloke on the toilet.

Each time we visit we have a wonderful time & experience. All members of staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful, professional & polite. It's also dog friendly which is brilliant. If they did doggy dinners & dessert it would be even better.

We tend to go to the White Hart most weeks now. Service used to be a bit sketchy but food always good.

We stopped here for a bite to eat one Tuesday, early evening, before heading to Portsmouth. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a good service. Dogs are welcome, and there is a large car park behind the pub. The menu is extensive and interesting. Four of us had a variety of mains and drinks. Per couple, the cost was £45.
The pub is excellently situated for petrol and the ferry terminal. A great stop - thank you.
