Love this pub! My family live nearby so when I visit we always head here. Good selection of beers 🍺 and an awesome menu.

BBQ brisket and ribs are amazing.

I had the Brisket Burger which is a great flavour balance with a meat patty and pulled brisket, cheese, sauce and coleslaw. It is really filling! I’m an average fella in size but it filled my belly! Maybe grab it to share and get extra chips unless you have a big appetite!

Had the dry aged steaks in last trip and they’re amazing as well.

Pub has plenty of parking, enclosed area out the back as well as dining in the pub plus a courtyard and garden area for dining in the sunny days. Great for families and couples.

Prices - the awesome burgers start at $20.

Just moved to the area and came here for our first meal out.
The food was phenomenal, one of the best steaks that I’ve had! We loved the cocktails, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our server Adele was great, very knowledgeable and kind and just made us feel right at home.
Can’t recommend enough!

The BEST food, atmosphere and service. My wife and I ordered the Tomahawk and it was honestly the best steak I’ve eaten. Dessert incredible, sides incredible, staff incredible. Amazing guys 🤩

Sunday lunch was the order of the day today.
First time visitors to the White Hart, Buxted.

A beautiful village pub serving a large range of drinks with a good choice of food available.

Welcome was warm on this cold, wet, blustery Sunday. I had not booked but luckily there was space.

Opted to have the pork burnt ends starter. This was tasty, certainly got the taste buds going. Portion size was a little meagre though I thought.

The aged roast beef was absolutely delicious.
A good sized portion, with a variety of vegetables served to accompany the medium rare roast beef.

Could not resist a pud. I opted for the sticky toffee pudding with custard. Beautiful steamed pudding with lots of toffee sauce and hot custard. A perfect finish.

Harveys Sussex Best was a fantastic pint enjoyed with the meal.

I only have one gripe. Additional gravy was available but at a cost of £3.00.
I felt this was a mean additional cost that was not a wise move.

Will I be back absolutely.

We went there for our roast dinner on Sunday. The starter was very nice. My roast dinner was very tasteless too much filo pastry not much filling. When ordered the vegan food I didn’t get Yorkshire pudding neither cauliflower cheese. The filling was also very bland. Potatoes very roasted too much that I could barely cut them. We ordered water few times which wasn’t brought for ages. The whole deal of 35 for 3 courses was more that the 3 courses I chose - all together for 34. It’s such a shame it looks like a lovely restaurant from inside. The dessert was very nice too.

Had a wonderful dinner at The White Hart this evening. We both chose the roast beef, which was delicious and came with lots of perfectly cooked veg and very impressive Yorkshire puddings. The desserts looked good, so we shared a peach and raspberry crumble to follow, also very delicious. Add to that friendly staff, super fast service, local Harvey's beer 🍺, and some gorgeous dogs. Definitely a winner winner roast beef dinner! Recommended.
