This is a wonderful pub, The rooms are beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. One delightful touch was the homemade shortbread left for guests to enjoy with their tea or coffee—such a lovely treat!

Breakfast was a highlight of my visit, featuring a delicious array of hot options that catered to all tastes. The atmosphere throughout the pub is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

I also appreciated the fact that dogs are treated as important guests alongside their humans, which adds to the friendly and inclusive vibe. Overall, this pub is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a cozy getaway with exceptional hospitality. I can't wait to return!

This hotel delivers the full package. From arrival and check in to check out the experience is positive. Warm and cosy with really friendly welcoming staff from whom nothing is too much trouble.. It's an old building full of history and character but decorated with neutral modern style. Lounge bar, public bar and dining room are all very comfortable with a good selection of ales, beers, spirits and cocktail options and the food served at lunch and dinner it top quality. Breakfast is very, very good and the Sunday roast is to die for.|Rooms are period and very comfortable accessed by the expected wonky floors and changes of floor levels which adds to the 'olde worlde' ambience. Parking is pay and display a very short walk away with other limited time on street parking too. Great location for Dartmoor exploration and the town has other pubs and eateries available too. |Highly recommended for a cosy get away.

Great Hotel!!!
I've looked at this hotel in passing quite a few times (we live in newton abbot) and thought it looked cosy.
Well, our hot water was playing up, so we decided to go somewhere to stay where there was a bath.
What a find! Dog friendly, warm, comfortable, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, hot bath (and a comfortable lounging/reading bath) and the food was great! All very fresh and local produce, including fresh homemade shortbread in the room. Yum!

Really enjoyed my stay and loved the decor theme throughout the pub lounge, restaurant and room. A very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, The room was ensuite, a good size with all facilities kettle tea etc (plus tasty home made biscuits waiting in the room). The bed was comfy with good sized pillows and a comfy mattress with cushions for extra comfort. Good lighting and Sky TV. Lovely breakfast with selection of pastries, toast, porridge and cooked breakfast, tea and coffee. I would recommend the White Hart for staying and dining.

Please can you pass on our thanks to all your staff for another wonderful stay - this is our fourth stay at The White Hart and indeed the very best; fantastic service from every member of staff during a very busy time, especially from Liv and Julie and nice to see a hands on manager in charge! ||Delicious food on both nights and brilliant breakfasts too. ||The improvements that the new owners have made to The White Hart into another league and we very much look forward to our next visit, number 5!!!

What a perfect few days the white hart is amazing a good 4 star standard. We got an amazing deal with breakfast.ROSA FREYA & JAMIE were superstars and made are stay extra special. We had dinner also I had the mixed grill and it was cooked perfectly and top quality meats. Thank you for a wonderful few nights we will be back soon 👍🍷🍽😍

Good price good food and one thing I must mention is that they have Sky tv in all the bedrooms, that`s a first for me. The staff were spot on and both the breakfast and evening meal were something to die for and served quickly. I have never bothered to write a review before but I felt I must.

What makes this place is the staff. Callum in the bar, our waitress (sadly don't know her name), reception staff and breakfast staff, could not do enough for us. Take into account there was 18 of us for a family 50th, and that it made it more amazing. We ate, we drank, we all stayed in the hotel and a good time was had by all. Totally recommend the place.
