Extremely friendly staff, delicious food. It is a lovely little pub and everyone was very patient and kind to the confused Americans and both staff and patrons offered us good tips for while we're visiting the area. The meals we ordered were very tasty and they were kind enough to allow us to make a special order on one and it was perfect! Free on street parking was a perk and there didn't seem to be any trouble with getting a spot.

After an 11 mile walk from Biddestone to Lan Hill and back, my partner and I were completely shattered, and instead of heading home and cooking, we cheekily checked if the pub had space for a 2 person walk in for food.... And they did!
Service was slow but its literally only one person running around doing all the jobs and doing the utmost best she can! But it gave us time to sit and relax, enjoy a cola before ordering food, then digesting the main meal before ordering dessert. If you like a slower paced meal out, here is perfect.
We sat inside after spending 6 hours out in the sunshine it was a nice cool space out of the heat. And the food was devine! I had Breton pie, my partner had Crab risotto, and then we both had Eton Mess for dessert, and we both have no complaints on the food, compliments to the chef! A very delicious meal, and only living down the road in Chippenham we'll have to return in the near future! Definitely a place for a family meal or a cute cosy couple date night, and will come highly recommended by us!

Stopped off, unplanned, during a rotten wintery bike ride. Couldn't have made a better decision. They fired up the coffee machine, cooked up a batch of fried egg sarnies and made us feel very welcome and warm despite the damp, stinking condition of our lycra. We'll be back.

We are locals that often pop into our village pub and I have to say the staff and landlord are always welcoming and friendly. We took some family members that were visiting for-drinks and dinner. The food was excellent, good size portions to the point I had to take my dessert home. The following day we went for a lovely dog walk and decided to return to try the breakfast (Sunday) I had the American flatbread which was absolutely delicious. My husband said the coffee was excellent (he is fussy about his coffee) We would certainly recommend this pub for drinks or an evening out with family and friends
