Spent two lovely nights at the White House. Victoria and her husband were very accomodating and helpful when I was delayed, stuck in traffic.||||I had the whole top floor to myself with bedroom, seperate bathroom (with bath and shower) and a seperate living room with tea/coffee making facilities.||||Slept soundly on the comfy bed. I was attending a wedding locally and it was such a joy to leave the youngsters dancing the night away and get back to the warmth, comfort and tranquility of The White House.||||The house is beautiful and very well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and included home made marmalade and other local produce. ||||There wasn't enough time to explore the area, the church, or other sites recommended by both Victoria and other travel guides I did manage a brief visit into Sleaford which again was very pretty and a lot bigger and well equipped than expected.||||I would like to go back and explore the area another time (having never been in that part of the country before). I would plan to stay at The White House when I do.

The White House is a beautiful house and one of the most stylish places that I have ever stayed. We couldn't fault our recent stay, it was perfect. The room was lovely and the facilities excellent. The cafetiere of good coffee with the full English breakfast, which was superb, ate in surroundings of paintings, antiques and books - we cannot wait to visit again. The owners were a delight.... friendly, helpful ... we wish we could have stayed and chatted all day. This is a delightful place to stay.

We loved our peaceful stay in this beautiful house in the centre of the picturesque village of Folkingham. Victoria was the perfect hostess, welcoming us warmly and ensuring our upmost comfort. Our room and adjoining ensuite were not only very comfortable but a visual delight, as was the rest of the house and garden. I personally enjoyed perusing the wonderful book collections in our little sitting room. The breakfast each morning was delicious and tailored to our wishes. We really had such a wonderful stay. I thoroughly recommend this BnB.

Everything about The White House is tasteful and interesting. I couldn't fault my recent stay. Highlights for me included the spacious warm bathroom overlooking the pretty cottage garden, watching the day break from my four-poster bed, the cafetiere of good coffee with the full English breakfast, and being surrounded by paintings, antiques and books - I really needed a longer stay to be able to enjoy it all fully. As a city dweller I appreciated the easy free parking and the peace and serenity which surrounded me. Equally, I could have chatted with the helpful, lovely, interesting owners all day. This is a delightful place to stay in any season.

As with other reviews the house is delightful and interesting and fairly comfortable. Fairly because we were in what I describe as the attic and it was cold. Especially after coming back from dinner in the evening. The warm atmosphere mentioned in other reviews was missing. Breakfasts the cooked was was cooked well but we were never asked if we had a choice of preference on the first morning. |It would of been nice to read about the house and have a dried bath towel each morning.|(Bathroom needs a radiator/towel rail)||

We stayed for a night recently when visiting family in the area. The house is beautifully appointed and there is free parking. We stayed in the rooms on the top floor which were perfect for us. The double room was well equipped the bed was huge and very very comfortable. The twin room was a nice size and beds comfy. The shared bathroom had everything we needed. It was nice to have a lounge area with a fascinating collection of books.||Breakfast was served in the dining room - with real silver cutlery! There was fresh fruit and a good english breakfast. All the ingredients appeared good quality and my veggie version was perfect. There was a nice supply of toast too which meant it was hot when we wanted it which is so much better than in some places when it is delivered with the teas and coffees then cold when you get round to eating it.||On the whole a lovely stay and we will definitely look to book again next time we're in the area.

The house is very beautiful - full of character with an eclectic decor that makes every corner interesting. The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent and parking is plentiful at the front of the property. A very pleasant stay and we would definitely return there again. Folkingham is a beautiful village with many stunning properties and a village pub & store.

Stayed here last week and it was excellent. Victoria is a fabulous host, nothing is too much trouble. The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The house itself is very grand and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a lovely freshly cooked Full English. This is a wonderful B&B!
