Great pub, the staff went above and beyond to be accommodating called up last minute after a long dog walk, Super friendly. The food itself was elevated pub grub that hit the spot perfectly the best cheesy garlic bread I’ve ever had!

‘The who’d of thought it’ also has two lovely wood burners you can sit next too which makes for the perfect setting on a wet and windy day. My new favourite pub, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this Inn. We booked it as a random stopover on our way to visit a puppy, and now we plan to bring him back when he’s older for a longer stay even though it’s 5.5 hours from home!

We were made very welcome, the room was relaxing, comfortable and cosy. Huge bed in the super-king room with a great mattress - I slept like a dream - it was also so quiet in the tucked away valley. I really fell in love with the location. The food was exceptional too - I will be talking about the crumble for a long time to come!

What more could we ask for? So glad we stumbled across this little gem and we hope to be back again soon. Thank you to everyone who made it so enjoyable.

Came here with the family for a Saturday evening meal. Absolutely delicious. Tasty veggie options too- pea and mint ravioli was heavenly. Everything was homemade, fresh and flavourful.
Service was great and lovely ambience.

What a little gem this place is.
This pub is so full of character and quirky, it was built in the 1600s it is also dog friendly.
It's a proper country inn with log burners and cosy chairs, the atmosphere is just lovely.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming and that includes the people who use it as their local pub.
The food served there is impeccable as is the breakfast.
My wife and I stayed for one night only we would have loved to have stayed longer but due to our travel plan we couldn't.
Honestly you won't be disappointed in using this pub just for a meal or even staying there for a night or two.

Such a lovely, welcoming pub.
Lots of cosy rooms with heavy curtains covering doors if it’s chilly.
Comfortable nooks and crannies where you feel so cosy.
The staff are so lovely, really friendly and helpful.
And the food, where do I start?
Incredible.
Couldn’t fault a thing.
The fish was so fresh and the chicken and cider pie was incredible!
The curry sauce that came with the fish and chips was delicious (you can of course choose not to have the curry sauce, but why would you?) and the gravy that came with the pie was exquisite.

Do not miss this place.
The best in the Yelverton area!

Lovely lunch here. Quiet location this time of year and not at all busy and perfect for us. Very traditional pub decor, no musak and a log burner. Great pheasant and good value drinks with attentive service. What a lovely surprise to find that such places still exist.

Had a lovely visit with family. The food was incredible and the service was great. I had the fish and chips which came with a delicious peanut and coriander salsa verde. The samphire was amazing and perfectly salted

We had lunch at this lovely Inn after visiting Buckland Abbey.
The service was impeccable.
The waitress was friendly, polite and had patience with us even though I had to translate everything to our kids.
The food was really great, best meal we had during our 2 week stay in Cornwall/Devon.
It was clear that the cook took pride and joy in his work, so much so that we heard him singing in the kitchen.
That all contributed to the relaxed atmosphere in the inn, which was cozy but tastefully decorated.
Definitely would go again if we are ever back in the region.
Thanks again to the staff for the hospitality.
