I have had a wonderful first trip to the island, and so glad that I chose to stay at The Wight. The staff are all fantastic and friendly, the breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. The room was fine, the whole hotel was over warm, I had to keep a window open and turn off the radiator.

The only thing that I did not enjoy was the entertainment, I have seen better in residential care homes. The bar staff made evenings bearable, as did going out most evenings to find other locations, which was unfortunate as I chose this hotel because it has entertainment and as a solo female I did not really want to go out alone at night.

We recently had a four night stay at the hotel & thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool & the fact it is doggy friendly. The reception staff were very friendly & welcoming, as were the kitchen & restaurant staff, bar & house keeping team. The breakfasts were amazing - both in quantity & variety, plus the staff couldn’t have been more kind & helpful. Will definitely return.. making it our fourth visit. Thank you again.. you were all amazing!!

As a regular at the wight hotel, our stay was awesome, the staff was amazing, and went that extra mile.the rooms was clean and tidy,beds comfortable and cleaned every day. The owners was helpful and polite and receptionist was lovely. |The breakfast was one in a million, always hot and plenty of choice, waiting on staff was helpful and happy, Terry and Chelsea was a lovely (thanks)|The bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced, the bar staff was awesome. Just returned from a quick visit to the beautiful Isle of Wight and back again to our 1st choice hotel - The Wight in Sandown. |Having visited many times before, our stay was as good as ever - fantastic, clean and comfortable room (travelling with teens) so great that we had an interconnected room. |The pool was divine in the heat - perfect temperature and we had it all to ourselves in the daytime as many guests seemed to be out enjoying the beautiful island and beach.|Breakfast was perfect as always - you really don’t get any better than a Wight fryup - the very best version of a full English. Brilliant waiter service from the friendly staff team and really sets you up for the day. |The teens loved the pool table and table tennis and drinks in the Dog and Frog hotel bar before a night out at some of the great local eateries was a good start. We would recommend the restaurants that the hotel has negotiated a 10% discount with locally - this time it was Chinese at “Royal China” but we have previously enjoyed “The Caulkhead” pub, “Eastern Eye” Indian cuisine. |The staff make this place wonderful - friendly and always helpful. The free and secure on site parking also make it a great choice and definitely better than other accommodation providers that don’t offer onsite parking. |We would also recommend the Sandham Gardens crazy golf which is just down the road - the kids loved it and the kids play park and high nets and go carts are fun for younger children nearby. Don’t forget to save up your 2ps for the pushslot machines on the pier amusements and to visit the rock and sweet shop on the high street. The new convenience store opposite is fantastic - amazing range of drinks and sandwiches and makes it very easy to setup a wonderful picnic for the day ahead. |Thanks to the wonderful team at The Wight for another wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel and clean rooms, amazing lounge areas on the ground floor, and the best breakfast experience ever! pool is nice and a free car park as well with plenty of space. staff are very friendly and the owner is nice. You get discount at nearby restaurants if you book with the hotel. Rooms are cleaned daily and stocked with biscuits and refreshments which the children loved. Great location a couple of minutes from the beach and other attractions aren't too far either. We'd love to go back again as the children were disappointed we only stopped a couple of nights and wanted to stay for longer.

We had a great stay at this warm family hotel, very nice and polite people both guests and staff. We were very well received! The room was small but very clean, the bathroom is literally a cubicle and the shower had little water, but in compensation the bed was delicious and cozy. The cleanliness in general is very good, the breakfast reasonable and decent, the pool area is a little old but well maintained, clean towels are offered, the good sized parking lot is a few meters from the beach, I recommend it!

Lovely friendly hotel. Excellent breakfast and the bar is a great place to interact with other guests. The only reason our room got 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the shower facilities - shower over the bath, which I understand as it gives guests the choice, but due to my knees I can’t clamber in and out easily so would prefer a cubicle; plus a thermostatic shower valve and mixer taps on the basin would be safer for everyone. We will definitely visit again though, as we felt the hotel was excellent value for money.

Excellent location and superb breakfast and facilities including pool/jacuzzi/steam room which were all great. Staff were always friendly and willing to help, and was also some entertainment in the bar some evenings. Good local pubs and restaurants as no food in hotel during evening.
