I would like to say me Sam and my husband Wendell stayed here to celebrate our 38th anniversary to catch up with family that live local. From the time we walked through the door and used the luxurious toilet to checking in and having a drink a chat with the owner Lou Lou, we was so happy with our choice. The place is every girls dream, Lou Lou was exceptional. The garden room beautiful as was the breakfast . Can’t recommend this lovely find enough. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Lou Lou your quaint hotel is an extension of you, classy and a little bit of luxury . Loved it

Great quiet location. Chalet type accomodation that we stayed in overlooked very pretty grounds. Very clean and everything that you could want. Owner offered us breakfast for an extra cost, which was lovely and well presented. Speaking of the owner, Lou, she is a wonderful, warm and welcoming lady, who's also great fun! Will definately revisit to try out the afternoon tea, which I'm sure will be superb! Thanks Lou. Until the next time!!!

We booked a table of ten for afternoon tea. The communication was by email only as they don’t answer the phone. It was all very slow but eventually we booked our table and paid the deposit. On the day we arrived ten minutes early and it was all locked up so we rang the bell and called the number on the door. Eventually someone appeared and told one of our party to move her car as the manager likes to park there! We were told abruptly to wait. We waited and were then invited around to the garden. The experience then began. Two of our party did not make it and we let them know they were not coming, one had tried calling in the week but of course was not answered. The garden and interior was very pretty and the manager Lou Lou had now arrived and led on the experience . She is very bubbly however the grumpy one who opened the door was also serving us. So when she bought an afternoon tea stand over with a broken leg (on the stand , not her!) and it tipped and chocolate mousse went all over the table she just glared and tutted. We had to ask for a cloth but there was no offer to replace it! Anyway the afternoon tea was nice. Suddenly we were told our time was up and we needed to pay but Lou Lou did not want separate payments. So one of us had to pay. When I got home I realised she had charged us for ten and not 8 so I phoned her to say she had made a mistake. Lou Lou did not reply so I messaged her and she said it was not a mistake. We had paid a deposit so that should have covered it but Lou Lou insisted we had to claim full payment from the two no-shows. She said a large party had not arrived the week before so she needed to make sure costs were covered. But that large party just lost their deposit. I had to pay in full. I’ve since escalated to trading standards. It’s such a shame because although it was a strange start and one lady definitely should not be working there the place is pretty and Lou Lou does make it a nice 2 hours. But watch your payment at the end! I think we were deliberately rushed for payment so that we didn’t realise we were over paying. I’m really angry and upset about it.

It's a nice room, pretty clean it was just some dust/dirt build up e.g. on soap dispensers, behind toilet, etc but everywhere else was spotless and the linen smelt fresh. The bed was comfy. It was nice having the private entrance felt like you could just come and go, lovely views but I did feel like I was in someone's back garden but that may be due to not spending much time there and it being quite dark when I arrived.

You can hear your neighbours quite a bit, the person in the room next door wasn't being particularly loud but it felt like they were in the same room.

The check-in time is quite short (3 hour window), I was delayed arriving but I did manage to get through to one of the numbers and someone let me in. It overall is a nice quiet spot, great views, great room and felt like you had your own space.

We had a lovely afternoon tea and I was really impressed from the minute I walked in. We received a fabulous greeting as though they'd known us for years and the service from that moment on was absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious and we were offered more sandwiches and top ups on the drinks throughout our visit. The whole area was decorated beautifully and the atmosphere was so friendly and fun. I can't recommend this enough and thank you for a lovely time.

Lovely one night stay at Willowford, a welcoming host who was in contact with us before, during and after our stay and such a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Milton Keynes as it is really local (15 minutes drive) to the main shopping and activity area, yet out away from the hustle and bustle.

My wife and I recently celebrated our Silver wedding and chose The Willowford Hotel to mark the occasion.
I wanted to lay on a few surprises for my good lady and met with Lou Lou, the proprietor, on several occasions to discuss how I wanted the afternoon to pan out. She couldnt have been more helpful or accommodating and took it upon herself to organise everything so that not only were my expectations were met on the day they were exponentially surpassed.
Her superb hosting skills, organisation, presentation and cheery demeanour took what was already a special occasion to another level.
My wife and I were absolutely thrilled with everything, it was perfection personified so much so I have now booked The Willowford to celebrate a landmark birthday for me later in the year!
Well done to Lou Lou, Pierre, Mel and Sophie for making our anniversary so special, a day we will never ever forget.
