Place is filthy. Table (64) was so sticky so I asked a staff member if he could give it a wipe down which he did, but the attached photos are AFTER he wiped it down.

It took me using several anti bacterial wipes to stop getting filth on them. The place is in desperate need of a makeover. We were seated next to a tatty looking wall that needs a good paint. Just felt dirty sitting in there but we had already ordered the food at the bar before I discovered how dirty the table was.

Food was actually pleasant enough and reasonably priced. Only the calamari starter was very greasy. Just praying the kitchen staff clean their work surfaces a lot better than the waiting staff as I hate to think my food was being prepared or stored in an unhygienic setting.

Soft play needs a good clean too. There’s just no excuse for having restaurant tables that dirty.

Cheap food and poor service here. Had dinner as part of the meal deal package while staying at the premier inn. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff and everything seemed like hard work. The staff bringing the food out were the exception and actually seemed to want to be there.

Food was mediocre, at best. I had a smothered platter and the cheese “smothering” it was just a square of processed cheese melted on top. Desserts were ok.

Probably better to go to the McDonald’s over the road.

Been a while since our last family visit, as was a favourite place to come for family birthday 🎂 days.
Came for my daughters 18th bit late in the evening but looking forward to a nice family dinner. Menu options weren't too bad good selection all round . Didn't have to wait too long for food. Wasn't what we remembered, few issues but nothing major, might try something else next time. Only issue was really sticky and heard other dinners saying the same thing . Found the staff abit laid back aswell.

The hotel staff were the best by far that I've had in a while and I stay in premier inn every other week around the country for work. I only stay in ones with actual pubs now due to the closing of the pubs from witbread. This is by far the worst restaurant/pub I've stayed in under the premier inn umbrella for 15 years. They refused that I could eat food from them in the bar and I had to sit in the restaurant, this has never happened before. Then sit me next to a table full of screaming kids with tablets on full blast. Due to this I moved myself to a quieter place. The food was massively overcooked and if you can get carbon poisoning I've probably got it. Am definitely not looking forward to breakfast might just go McDonald's nextdoor.

Update.

The Aircon is broken in the room so only got air. Had to open the window onto a busy main road.

Never staying here again.

Premier inn is getting worse and worse.

We stayed at Premier inn for a wedding, on the friday night the lady was lovely and made us feel very welcomed.
Breakfast every morning was brillant lots of options and the kids were very happy.
The kids loved the soft play which gave the adults time to have a coffee in peace.
Overall the staff were all brillant and made sure we had everything we needed.

Love their weekday lunch. Two mains for £8.99. Good deals with a lot of choices.

I order curry rice almost every time while my friend will have fish and chips. Big portions tho’ cheap prices.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the restaurant manager Angie and staff for making mine and my family’s visit memorable and we will be returning 100%, it’s great to see an establishment very family oriented!
Angie and staff went above and beyond to make me and my family feel so welcome, can tell the windmill is run by a tip top team👍🏼 keep up the great work guys, the food was amazing, everything came hot and just as we ordered, children’s portions just perfect and the desserts were amazing too! Will be recommending as Angie and her team are a 10/10

We booked here for the mother's day lunch, not really knowing what to expect as we haven't eaten here for years. As per other reviews the building is a bit tired but it was clean, tidy and the staff were really, really friendly. Paige was out waitress and really bubbly and friendly, whilst Dan on the carvery was a real bundle of fun and I had a great conversation with him.

The food was really good value and well cooked, and the desserts were excellent. The chourros and KitKat especially so.

None of is could fault it, and we will be back for another go.
