Breakfast today was absolutely delicious, I asked for a non menu dish and they happily made it for me. Our other meal of salmon and eggs was very tasty too. The garden at the back is quiet and comfortable. Their freshly baked scones are delicious !!! Highly recommend this cafe

We popped into The Windmill bakery for breakfast while out on our morning walk this morning...lovely friendly staff & great service & the food was fresh & delicious (highly recommend the rarebit!). They have a great selection of food on the menu & also to take away & do takeaway boxes for breakfast, pasta, etc, which is excellent if you're on the go. They also have lots of local produce/gifts on sale supporting other local businesses. All in all a great experience.... we're lucky to be local..... please pop in if you're in Rottingdean 😊

The Windmill is a wonderful wee bake/eatery that has a set menu filled with breakfast, brunch and linner favourites. Dogs and their owners are more than welcome there and it has a wonderful familial vibe. (Dogs get treats too)!

It's the best place in town for your bread and rolls. The staff are great and the grub is good.

Don't try to venture there for food after 15:00 though, as they wind up the kitchen for a four pm close.

Great little spot in Rottingdean.
Excellent choice for breakfast - we had the full veggie & eggs bennie. Good size portions, perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise & thick slices of ham on sourdough toast.
Great coffee & staff were great.
Would def recommend.

A great little bakery where everything is always fresh. They do great coffee and bacon rolls as well. I have not used the cafe area, but it looks very inviting. Very happy to recommend this place.

Thank you for such kindness today.

I came in with my mum for lunch and both the food and the service were incredible. My mum started to feel unwell prior to our food coming and so lost her appetite which she felt awful about once her food arrived, but the staff were kind enough to take it back free of charge, even though it had been made and was sitting at our table for a few minutes. They were extremely lovely about the situation and we really appreciated this touch of kindness. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cafe that feels like it cares (and for amazing food and tea!)

So fresh! We got a couple of still warm pasties to take away and they were gorgeous. Friendly and helpful staff too.
