Lovely old pub, full of character, with log fires. Delicious food and ales. Accommodation was one of the out buildings, not the pub itself, but that didn't detract from the stay. Would recommend to others.

The food and service here was fabulous a few years ago. Now the portions are mean: particularly meat and the desserts (the treacle tart is one mouthful), the service isn’t great either (little things like requesting no ice in drinks and them arriving full of ice). The prices have increased also.
Unsurprisingly it was empty at Sunday lunchtime (it previously was always full).
I recommend you visit the green man down the road instead.

My partner and I visited the Windmill Inn over the Valentines weekend for dinner. What a lovely country pub! Staff are really welcoming and service was super quick. Food was piping hot and very tasty 😊 will definitely be returning soon, highly recommended!

An absolutely gorgeous little pub, full of character and a lovely outdoor area at the front with patio heaters to keep people warm when having a lil smoke or vape, or just sitting outside in the hut. Near the old West Grinstead railway station, made a lovely coffee stop. Brilliant seating for two with armchairs right next to the fireplace just as you go in, to the right. Lovely staff and regular humans with their dogs!

This wonderful local pub has it all! Charming bar for drinks or afternoon tea. A fireplace with armchairs to read in, two dining rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Nice rooms, good food. Dogs welcome.It only has four stars for location because the front is to the quiet main street of Littleworth

Disappointing Xmas lunch.

Booked with a group of about 18(?) for 1.00pm, but lunch arrived at 2.00pm. Meat was good quality, except not very hot. Plates cold. Small dishes of veg, and sprouts were as hard as nails ! Puds came at 3.00pm. Rubbish crackers. Really not worth the £35 for 2 courses.
Staff were very amicable - No complaints there !
Don't say you can do it if you can’t!!!!

Had a good lunch here. There is a full menu and one with smaller portions, I went for the small plates - despite which I was stuffed after three courses. Definitely good value. I had bean and lentil chilli, and my friend had the venison casserole. Both were excellent.

Had a lovely meal here, I'm gluten free and there was a lot of choice. Gf fish and chips amazing. Great service too
