Me and my wife stayed here for three nights as we stayed in Bath for a getaway. The city itself is elegant and very historical.

We chose the Windsor Townhouse as our hotel, and it is situated near most of the attractions Bath has to offer. Upon entrance, there were no staff on. However, the instructions on how to get to our room were left for us. Unfortunately the nearest car park is the podium and it's a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Upon first inspection, the room appeared to be clean. However, there were clear signs of wear and tear, marks on the bedding and headboard, cracks, and residue around the ceiling, which could be fixed with a bit of silicone. The shower curtain had mould on. However, the rest of the room was ample with a fridge and a safe included. There are a lot of stairs to the higher floors, which is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The shower pressure was poor. However, being two flights of stairs up the building and it being old, it's understandable. The Bath/shower itself Unfortunately doesn't cater very well to tall people and to shower you have to duck down.

The breakfast, which was included, was served each morning with a decent choice and was delicious. 10/10 on the food. It definitely filled us up ready for the day ahead.

Although there are improvements that could be made, we still enjoyed our stay at the Windsor, and if we were ever back in Bath, they probably have done enough for us to stay there again.

My wife booked this ha 5 star hotel!! as a treat for our 35th wedding anniversary. The pictures on their website made it look fantastic. This is NOT a 5 STAR HOTEL, it is 2 star B&B at best. I have complained to the AA as they list it as 5 star. The room was tiny nothing like any of the photos. There was mould around the shower, the mastic was terribly done on the inside and outside of the shower. The button for 'cold' was missing on the sink tap, the water took 4 minutes to come through. I see others have complained about this but then saying well it is an old building, for this amount of money the plumbing should be first class, it really make premier inn look like a 7 star if there was such a thing. The cover was missing from the electric fuse box outside the room, one of the decorative wall light covers was missing, Light bulbs out. The toilet brush was disgusting! The staff were the only 5 star thing there

Stayed just the one night last minute. Excellent location and parking is only around the corner. Bathroom was looking a little tired but everywhere else was excellent. Lovely breakfast in the morning and staff were also very helpful and polite. Would definitely stay there again.

Stinks of cigarettes, shabby dated decor and furniture. Steep steps up to the third floor and no lift, dirty kettle and no milk and tea bags or spoons left in the room. Dirty big stain on the duvet, and cold shower.
Location wise it is perfect walking distance of Bath's main attractions and the view from the rear windows overlooking the cricket and rugby fields is nice. Breakfast was ok but served on cold plates and very unfriendly staff. Wouldn't stay here again.

We recently stayed here for two nights, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. Despite being marketed as a 5-star property on Booking.com, the reality was far from it. The room was in a deplorable state, with cleanliness clearly not being a priority. Frankly, it would struggle to meet even a 3-star standard, let alone the luxurious experience we were led to expect. I would caution any discerning traveler to think twice before booking here.

The hotel is perfectly placed to Bath center, the Staff were friendly and rooms nice.

It's not the cheapest at circa ยฃ150pn, the largest breakfast was 1 X bacon, 1xegg, a few beans, cold toast and 1x egg.

The one issue I did have is when I got home and they withdrew the second and final payment they added a 'Discretionary service charge' of ยฃ37.40, now I don't mind tipping etc but to slap it on the invoice without asking was very unprofessional.

After about 5 emails I finally got the rude reply (see image) this was really disappointing and I wouldn't use again.

We had a great stay, the room was lovely and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We got some good tips on what to do in Bath, and the location is excellent for walking to restaurants and the city's attractions. Looking forward to returning next year.
