I've only visited the restaurant. It is in a beautiful setting! And they have a really nicely decorated seating area overlooking the lake. I went for the shoulder of beef but the sauce was a bit to tangy for my liking. Their sticky toffee pudding was amazing.

Turned up to find lots of free tables. Great! Wrong. 16:30/17:00 on a Sunday (open until 22:00), no food available for ‘walk ins’. Ridiculous. Despite the abundance of tables, they were ‘fully booked’. Not even nibbles were available. I would understand pre-booking a large party, but I would not expect this for a table for two! Very poor management of a pub. We could only order drinks and crisps. So, we left.

My husband booked a weekend away at The Wiremill in Felbridge. This was for my 50th birthday. We were greeted warmly by the staff on arrival. We were shown to our cosy, modern and well equipped bedroom. There was a large television with access to lots of channels including Netflix. There was a range of teas and coffees for us. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. There were plenty of plugs to charge things. There was a humidifier and a heater to ensure the room was a good temperature. The restaurant was amazing. We ate there for breakfast and in the evenings. We drank there during the day. Eating inside the restaurant you could look out onto the picturesque lake. It was warm enough to sit outside on the decking which was also heated. The surroundings were tranquil and beautiful. We took a long muddy walk through the woods to the side of the lake. Which was really enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend anyone going here to eat or to stay.

We stopped here for one night while cycling from London to Brighton. We enjoyed an incredible dinner, a cosy night, and a superb breakfast. The location is breathtaking, just some kilometres from London.

In the morning there was someone water skiing on the lake, and that was awesome!

A rustic feeling decor to the room which was actually pretty new. Comfortable and quiet, it was a great location for a stay, prior to flying out from Gatwick
