The service wasn’t the worst however considering it was very quiet and only had 2 tables eating, I’d hate to imagine how slow it would be during a busy period. The man behind the bar was on his phone for 80% of our time there, didn’t bother to ask if we wanted anymore drinks and wasn’t even the one to take plates, the chef did. Despite that we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. I love the fact that the chef himself brought us the food, he is so lovely and really knows his stuff. He was very friendly and informative, the chef is the best part about this place. And service would of been better if the chef had just done it himself, he was the one who asked if everything was okay with food, he was also the one to ask if we would like any more sauces, he was also the one who offered us deserts. The chef is amazing. Would definitely eat here again if the bar staff improve.

I had an amazing experience at Woodford Bar & Grill! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great mix of lively energy and relaxed comfort. The food was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection and full of flavour.

A special shout-out to Lauren, the bar woman, who really made the night stand out. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows her craft. Her cocktail recommendations were spot on, and she served everything with a genuine smile that made us feel right at home.

I’ll definitely be coming back, highly recommend!

The Woodford Bar and Grill is located just a ten-minute walk from South Woodford Station and is conveniently situated near busy bus routes. The decor is vibrant and appealing, particularly attracting a younger crowd with features like music, cocktails, and a pool table.

The bar also functions as a restaurant, serving food that focuses on a blend of grilled items and American-style fast food. While the food is generally well-cooked, it tends to be a bit heavy on the salt. The drinks are decent, but the cocktails could use improvement, as they lack strong flavor and alcohol content.

The service is acceptable, though the servers can sometimes become easily distracted. As a new establishment in the area, the venue is attempting to cater to an older demographic by using marketing tactics that involve scantily dressed women, which has not proven to be an effective strategy. This dual approach seems to create some confusion as it tries to appeal to both younger and older audiences.

Furthermore, the Woodford Bar and Grill faces strong competition from a well-established pub nearby, which is more popular among locals. With a clearer identity and better understanding of its target market, the bar could potentially stand out more. For now, the overall experience remains average.

My friend and I come here frequently for post work drinks, food and a long catch up. We always have a great time. I normally get a steak, she normally gets some sort of fish dish and it’s always a lovely time. But today stood out to me especially, Laura was so helpful and so lovely, attentive. Thank you for making our usual catch ups a little more fun☺️

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Woodford Bar&Grill and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with attentive staff who ensured our visit was memorable. The menu offered a wonderful selection of dishes, each prepared with evident care and quality ingredients. I was particularly impressed by surf and turf combo, which was a true highlight. All in all, a splendid experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delightful meal.

This is so much better than the previous restaurant. We ordered steak and it was very nicely cooked, albeit very salty, which could have been avoided. The calamari starter was great. We went around 4 pm and it was almost completely empty, so in terms of armosphere, there is not mich to say. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. It is really great value for money.

Great chill place for an afternoon lunch! Really friendly and thorough service from Lauren who was on staff at lunch, was very welcome company after a long morning. The chef Zi made some of the tastiest, most generous-sized nachos I have ever had, and a fantastic pan fried salmon dish with varied rich flavours. Slowly making this place one of my regulars!
