From the moment we arrived being met by a staff member to show me through to the ladies changing room, to the wonderful experiences of all the different spa pools and zones, the amazing tapas, the personal touch of the owner Andrew asking how we were enjoying our experience as he chatted with guests in the bar, to the 5 star collection/drop off in buggy to our accommodation in the farmhouse, fine dining in Bertram’s, breakfast in Wilfred’s this was our first but definitely won’t be our last visit. Absolutely outstanding. Thank you everyone at Crow Wood/Woodland Spa.

Been here twice now and can’t fault any part of the spa. The service is amazing and the food and drinks although a bit pricey are well worth it. Very spacious spa we went on a fully booked Saturday and it wasn’t too crowded which is a plus as most spas you’re on top of each other when they’re fully booked

Not really being a spa person I was so very impressed with this spa resort. The facilities are so modern and really clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful - all day they were walking guests into the changing rooms to explain procedures and how all the facilities work. The spa itself is so fabulous and there’s loads to experience even if you aren’t getting a treatment. There’s endless jacuzzis, pools, steam/sauna rooms and even an ice room! We had a 2 course meal and the food was superb. I would definitely visit again or even gift an experience to a loved one. The only downside is that on the terrace you could occasionally smell manure as I think there is a stables next door but this came and went. Also bring your own water bottle or else pay £8.50 for one.

Excellent excellent spa! Has massively grown over the last year. The ‘old/original’ area is still as wonderful with saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and the outside areas. The new area is just WOW! Plenty of spaces for a delicious cocktail.
We were on the thermal and dine experience so had our lunch in Bertram’s. Previously, on other visits, we have enjoyed the tapas on the terrace and would definitely recommend that over the 2 course lunch. The majority of the food was tasty, however service was incredibly slow and not quite as we would expect which was such a shame with silly little mistakes that didn’t need to happen.
The spa didn’t feel too busy and was lovely and soothing.
Would highly recommend this spa. The value for money is fantastic as you can have a full day unlike other spas.

Beautiful spa that makes you feel relaxed from the second you arrive. Staff were really helpful and friendly and facilities were clean. Even though we were told that the spa was fully booked on the day we visited, it did not feel busy and we got to use all of the facilities that we wanted without feeling like we had to rush or that we were enceoachin on someone else's spa experience.

Lunch was very tasty and filled us up without leaving us feeling bloated and over full.

Would definitely recommend this spa to everyone.

We had an incredible time from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Staff were lovely and always very helpful. All the facilities are spot on and spotless. Food was outstanding. Only gripe we had was the price of drinks £7.50 for a pint and then £15 for a cocktail is exhaustionate no matter the circumstance. I can't wait for our next visit the investment has been a breath of fresh air.

Well what an amazing spa!
I have been to a few and this is by far the best.
We got a last minute facial, mine was done by Emma and what an amazing lady! She was so softly spoken and warm, she knew exactly what my skin needed without me even saying a word.
We then used the spa, just wow! The steam room was divine and the serenity pool was just the best, I spent 35 minutes in the pool and didn’t notice it was that long it was that relaxing. Everything there is great. The meal was out of this world! We shared the steak baguette and steak & brisket burger, both were divine but the steak baguette definitely took the top, I could have eaten another!!!

Woodland Spa has gorgeous facilities which makes for a really pleasant and relaxing experience. The spa is really impressive in size with a wide range of spa features and pools, and very cosy bar areas. We loved how quiet and spacious it was, even at the rooftop pool.

The only issues related to the rooftop area. There was nowhere to leave your robes at the rooftop pool when it was raining (a sheltered area with hooks would be helpful); and quite a lot of leftover towels/robes left around the rooftop fire pits (some clearly marked towel bins on the rooftop might help).

Otherwise, it’s a really well managed and serene spa with very nice tapas, and we look forward to relaxing again here 🙂 Definitely my favourite spa I’ve been to yet!

Edit in 2025: since this review, they now have the hooks for robes at the rooftop pool which is a great help.
