Is this the best pub ever.....probably YES!

5 times we've eaten here now and never had a bad dish. Service is brilliant, so casual and super friendly.

Only booked once, every other time walked in and sat down within 2 mins (always on weekend ill add.)

Beer amazing.

If they have the cow pie on...order it! Its so tasty and massive!

Burger is also Brilliant

Which were both incredible.
Loved the ambience, decor and style.
Found staff to be exactly what is needed, attentive but not over fussy.
Food was well worth what you pay. We've never had such tasty food.

Sunday brunch. Lovely location in the very beautiful and traditional old market town of Woodstock. Relatively quiet on a Jan Sunday morning. Friendly staff and quick service. Always nice to sit near a real log fire. We both had eggs Benedict plus some add ons. Fresh and tasty and got to praise the sausages. All very lovely. Not cheap - £50 for two. But worth it.

It’s surprisingly hard to find a pub with more than halloumi fries or something with butternut squash as vegetarian options. The Woodstock Arms had a thoughtful seasonal selection of veggie dishes that were different enough to feel special but not too tricky for our teenager. Homemade hummus with crisp chickpeas was excellent, as was spinach gnocchi and a cheese soufflé with Comtè. Great fries too.

Booked lunch for seven. Ambience and decor were great. Unfortunately the service staff were miserable and smiling would have been a bridge too far. 3 of us had soup to start, which whilst tasty was not warm enough. 1 of us had beef bourginon which was so tough it was inedible.
They still tried to charge us for it and we had to ask for it to be removed from the bill.
I can see the potential for a good visit but I think its hit and miss, sadly the latter for us.

Stopped in for breakfast on a wet and windy morning at 9.30. Met and seated by a lovely, helpful young lady.
The breakfasts were huge and very tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. If you are in Woodstock I would highly recommend this delightful old pub.

We had dinner here. The side dish of green beans came first before our starters, so was cold by the time we had our mains. The prawn cocktail was undressed very cold prawns which was sent back. This is just a lazy dish. The beef bourgignon was ok but was presented as ‘meat on a plate’, better in a dish.
