Stayed here on business twice during the September. Wasn’t a lot of choice of hotels in Northampton as wanted somewhere that had evening food on site so took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. ||The rooms are spacious and generally clean. Some updating / refurb needed but similar to older premier inn. Not the worst by any means.||The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The beds were comfy and clean. Good night sleep with little noise. ||Good Wi-Fi speed ||Good breakfast choice and staff even happy to make a sausage sandwich even though not on menu. ||Staff were friendly. ||Downsides pub not open after 7pm on Sunday so arrived to no option for food. ||Pub has good choice of beers. The IPA and bitter was good. ||Food isn’t particularly cheap, but had some good meals. Mash and pie, fish and chips and pizza were good. Happy hour before 6pm. First time I had a £3.50 pint in years ||The fact I returned for a second stay means it was alright and noticed that other business guests from first visit were staying again meaning they are doing something right or other hotels are worse in Northampton.

We were given a room over looking the car park which pleased me as I had read these are quieter. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I particularly liked the tiles in the bathroom. Much more interesting than the normal plain ones. tithe bath was small but adequate and the shower worked well.||It was a Friday evening and they do 2 for 1 pasta and pizza. I had the salmon and prawn penne which was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his penne arrabiata. We then shared a pizza with extra chicken and smoked bacon which again was excellent. We thought the food was excellent and very well priced. The dining room is lovely and I liked the artwork on the walls. Everyone serving at the hotel were very friendly.||Our breakfasts were excellent, We can recommend the full English. The quality of the food and quantities were extremely good.||The village of Ecton , where the hotel is situated, is beautiful. Do make sure you give yourselves time to have a stroll around. What a gem!

Absolutely amazing! The place itself is lovely and the decor really is gorgeous. The food is our of this world I had the jerk chicken burger and the good lady had lamb shank both of which were cooked to perfection. 10 out of 10 and will definitely be going again . Cannot recommend this place enough, fantastic food at a good price!

Booked a family meal for 6, arrived on time and was sat down at our table quickly. The pub was not busy, however once we had placed our orders we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the food to arrive, then only 4 meals came, the other 2 meals 10 minutes later.

The Sunday roast was very nice all be it a little expensive for the amount you get. (3 roast potatoes, 2 slices of meat, a small amount of diced veg, the smallest piece of broccoli, and 1 Yorkshire pud, cost £20.
One of our party had fish and chips again very nice but some of the larger chips were hard inside.

We then ordered pudding, this took 30 minutes to arrive. The sticky toffee pud was good and a nice size portion, however we ordered 2 of the vegan puddings which were tiny yet cost the same, nearly £8.

Overall the service was very slow, not what we expected when the pub wasn’t busy. Some of the food was very good but a bit pricey for the portion size.

I can't believe this is a four-star hotel! Where do I even start? I'm 6'2" with broad shoulders, and the shower curtain was practically hugging my arm as I was having a shower. They might as well have installed it right in the middle of the bath. Secondly, there are no window curtains. You get window blinds that do absolutely nothing to block out the morning light. Speaking of light, there's a bright green light illuminating one side of the bed, which makes the whole room green as you sleep. The food was average at best. Really small portions. My burger was tiny and looked awful. One of the waitresses was really friendly, but the other not so much. I travel a lot for work, and maybe I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to hotels, but this one takes the biscuit!

We are a party of 4 who go to various restaurants monthly for a meal. We booked a table at the Worlds End. When the meals arrived we could not believe how small the portions were on all four plates. Two of us ordered the Panseared salmon fillets which were accompanied by two and half mini potatoes plus, as the menu stated, seasonal vegetables which were.a piece of cress and a piece of cabbage.|The other two people had different meals but these were also very small portions.|I must say all the meals tasted excellent but value for money very poor.|On this occasion we were very disappointed and would think twice about dining there again. Please note none of our party are big eaters.

Very good food, family friendly. Had lots of gluten free options for me and could adapt the menu to suit. Good service. Parents stayed at the hotel and were very complimentary about their stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lovely little village too.

Nice food, good service, plenty of space but does get busy.

Nice gardens and plenty of parking.

Steps to the bar, not wheelchair friendly. Toilets are a squish too.

I can't imagine a wheelchair navigating the tight corners. No disabled loo that I could see in the restaurant.

But, food and service makes it worth the trip.
