Lovely place, with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Food is gorgeous and fresh and big portions, daily special board with lovely offerings.

Definitely a place to visit when on the island.

Pre book to avoid disappointment.

Holy moly! Where to start? My friends and I had a fantastic meal here. I had sea bass, which I'd never eaten before, and it was fantastic, truly delicious. The fish was accompanied by a dish of fresh vegetables and I was able to substitute some of my new potatoes for chips. For dessert, I had cheesecake and it was magnificent. I don't drink but my friend had a pint of Pedigree and said it was great.

Fantastic. Was advised to go here by a friend due to its reputation for excellent foods and atmosphere, and wasn't disappointed. The service was brilliant, food was, as stated, excellent with great ales, ? and spirits. Wonderful location and atmosphere. Suggest you have the home made Beef and Stilton pie. WOW.

We booked to go here with my brother, who was visiting from Australia, actually , this was his suggestion, also my wife & my Mum were with me too.

It was an evening visit, 18:00/18:30.

We were greeted & seated, drink orders were taken & then food orders.

Then we waited, and waited, others got their food, others who arrived after us received their food, but still nothing for us, we waited some more, I went for a vape outside & said to my dining companions if the food wasn’t there when I came back in I was going to ask what the hold up was, bear in mind almost an hour had gone by now.

So, vape done I came back in, and still no food, I went up to the bar & spoke to the staff, i explained that others who arrived after us had not only ordered, but had finished their meals & we were still waiting, they apologised & said it would be with us very soon.

As I walked back to the table the food arrived, as did the waitress who offered us a round of drinks on the house, we said thank you & happily accepted, they apologised again.

The rather long wait aside, the food was absolutely delicious and dare I say it, worth the wait, my wife & I both said they were the best burgers we’d had in a very long time, my wife wants to go back for another one, my wife & brother both really enjoyed their food too.

We paid the bill & left.

Will we go back? Absolutely, the burgers really were very good indeed, and the staff are always so friendly and polite, they’re a credit to the restaurant.

Went for lunch today with our children and sat in the garden. What a pretty place to sit and eat. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and atmosphere there was delightful. The garden looked so lovely and so clean. We had a lovely time and will be returning soon. Thank you ?

You'd think this was just a normal little family pub.
But you'd be wrong.
The food is superb and the service amazing and the prices really cheap given how well made the food was.

Our waitress Hannah was lovely.
When we arrived it was quite early and we had a lovely chat with her.
Turns out after 14 years working in the hospitality industry she's moving on to an office job.
Best of luck in your new job, I suspect you will be just as good in your new job as you are in your current hospitality job!!
