We stayed 3 nights here and it was absolutely delightful. Sue and Avril are amazing hosts. The breakfast delicious with locally sourced food. The rooms were very comfortable. Local eateries are also excellent. If you like seafood try the chowder at The creggans Inn. In inverary Samphire restaurant Langoustines or mussels are out of this world. For the outdoorsie type try hiking up to the watchtower from Inveraray castle.

Thistle House will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it provided an unforgettable experience during our honeymoon in Scotland. The views are breathtaking, and the house itself is stunning. Sue and Avril were exceptional hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed and answering all our questions about Scotland. They even upgraded us to a room with an incredible view upon learning it was our honeymoon. The breakfast was delicious, making it hard to leave on our final day. When we return to Scotland, Thistle House will definitely be part of our plans. - Nate and Emma

Fantastic stay in a beautiful location. Very comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts! Avril and Sue couldn’t have been nicer - they were very accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to come and stay again!

A wonderful find! A gorgeous, immaculate, guest house that feels like home the moment you walk in! Gracious, accomodating hosts who clearly know how to treat their guests. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious! I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We had an excellent stay with Sue and Avril starting with tea and cake in the beautiful, large lounge. The have carried the thistle theme throughout which I appreciated as an interior designer. Take advantage of the gorgeous views from the cushioned patio furniture out front. Our room was the MacNaughton which included two chairs and small table overlooking the water providing a spectacular view to sip tea and enjoy the peace and tranquility from the privacy of your room. The bathroom had a large shower and the decor was in a stylish fish theme as was the breakfast room. Both ladies were extremely helpful with questions we had about the area and nothing was too much trouble. Handmade pottery and jams are available for purchase as well. They were helpful in recommending restaurants for us and we took their advice for dinner at The Creggans Inn. We would have happily stayed more days if our holiday allowed and would highly recommend.

Land lady very helpful in moving cases to a wonderful room overlooking the loch.|Room very clean and tidy, breakfast excellent quality.|Beautiful lounge available also over looking the loch, one of the best places we stayed at on our 17 day tour.

We attended a wedding at the nearby Creggan's Inn this weekend and stayed for two nights at Thistle House. We were really pleasantly surprised by the house - it is so pretty - the bedrooms were very nicely decorated and the lounge was beautiful. The views of the loch are amazing and the whole atmosphere is very relaxing. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, especially with our elderly relative - they were so kind and patient with him. Breakfast was excellent and all the little details - home made marmalade etc. really added to the visit. We would happily return.

What can I say, I have never seen such a sweet place to stay. A lovely hostess who even brought a birthday card to my husband's room, lovingly decorated rooms, a view of the water and an incredibly good breakfast. A place to stay with love down to the smallest detail. Thank you for the place, we felt very comfortable!!!!
