Had our golf society Christmas event here , breakfast was good, lack of seating was an issue as we were quite a big group. With the weather we had experienced recently course was very wet as to be expected, greens were good though.
However a couple of poor points about the day, only 2 showers available in changing room, we expected as there were 25 of us to have a separate eating area as we have had previously, we were spread out in the general bar area and due to a wedding taking place upstairs, just as our desserts came out the wedding party descended back in bar area.
We were then asked to go over to the games room ( which we had enquired about ) but really this was to get us out of the way of wedding party.
This meant when we wanted drinks we had to brave the wind and rain back to main clubhouse .
Games room was really good though and we held our end of year presentation in this room too.
The quality of the Christmas lunch was very good and overall staff were great.

Recently had a party here, the room we hired was amazing value, its own bar, dance floor and ample seating area for guests. Staff were excellent on the evening and communication before the event was handled amazingly. Can’t fault anything! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Played Thornbury with a society, on arrival we had a bacon and sausage roll with coffee waiting for us, very good. We then played the par 3 short course in the morning for a bit of fun/warm up. Good little course to practice the short game and putting. We had lunch of sandwiches and chips which were ok but a tad dry. Played the main 18 hole course in the afternoon, nice course, well developed with decent and challenging greens and features. The long rough was a ball eater and likely you would not see it again. The round was a touch slow due to another large group in front but overall a great days golf. Dinner was good, some might say not enough but I thought it was adequate and tasty. Golf staff and Bar/kitchen staff were excellent. Will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Stayed here a few times, lovely lodge, a little chilly due to high ceilings and spacious rooms however perfectly comfortable and clean. Only 4 stars due to misinformation on last orders for dinner during last stay: was told 7pm, arrived at 6:50pm to be told kitchen closed. Not the end of the world but disappointing and the young member of staff didn't seem to care. Otherwise, breakfast was nice, lovely golf course view and all in all, very good value.

Lovely golf course, friendly helpful staff, excellent food and reasonable prices.
Recently attended a wedding here and was very impressed at the peofessional way everything was handled. Food, bar and staff were very proffesional and friendly all day and evening. Would have no problem recommending to anyone.

Staff are always friendly when we visit but today the catering staff were exceptional when we took our grandchildren in for lunch. They could not do enough for us.
