I have shopped here many times and previously bought their lasagna, which used to be amazing! Slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth it.
My Daughter mentioned a while ago that she'd purchased one after not having bought one for quite some time and remarked it wasn't a patch on how it used to be.
I'd not had one for a long time either but assumed it might have just been a one off, so I bought one today.
Wow, what a difference.
It used to to have so much flavour and the whole kitchen used to smell amazing when you cooked it.

What a let down it was. My Daughter was right. Nothing like it used to be and nowhere near the same quality.

It had barely any flavour, you couldn't really taste any garlic and it was missing that slightly oily/garlic texture/taste that made it taste so fantastic previously.

It was, in my Husbands words....almost bland. I agree but it was also really stodgy, like a cheap supermarket brand.
Definitely won't be purchasing again.

Nice drinks & food.

Being from a country background, I wanted to go to a local farm shop in Yorkshire, so my friends recommended I visit here. It did not disappoint.

I first went to the cafe where I was seated in front of a large window with an almost panoramic view across the farms and the nearby towns. I chose to have the warm carrot and coriander soup and a sausage roll, a cappuccino with oat milk was on the cards to wash it down.
After ordering at the till there wasn't much time to wait before the coffee arrived. The coffee was perfect temperature and was really smooth and rich in flavour. The roll and the soup came out together soon after. The soup came out a little too hot and needed quite some time to cool which is my only criticism with the experience. The soup was fresh and the roll was well filled. My preference would have been to have the roll filling a little bit more corse but this did not affect the flavour in the slightest and the pastry held up to be flaky.

After the cafe I headed to the main shop which I found was well stocked and had a bit of everything you may want. The vegetables looked fresh and clean. The meat was weighed to order. There was a wide selection of bakes, pastry and other treat goods. I ordered a bit of each section and felt I paid a fair price.

Overall, I really liked it and will be back.

Good farmshop with ample parking, selection of freshly baked and frozen food available. Pleasant restaurant attached to it with a good range of food and great views if you can get the right table.

We live in Hertfordshire but we love our regular visits to Thorncliffe Farm Shop during our regular visits to Yorkshire. We always stock up on meat from the excellent butcher’s department and the pies are outstanding always fully filled and delicious, including both the fruit and meat varieties. It’s well located with plenty of parking. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely extortionate prices for the same products you can get elsewhere for much cheaper! Meat quality isn't even the best for how much you spend! Tearoom the same, very expensive! In this economy you're better off going somewhere else for the same if not better quality🤌🏼

Beautiful views of Yorkshire, the people are friendly and I was impressed with the quality of meat. Its a lovely cafe with excellent food, clean, friendly, and impeccable service. The portions are big and great value for money. Highly recommend a visit.
