Place beautiful, lovely decor and atmosphere. Staff attentive and wine (I actually had the french house white wine) was lovely. Bar also served budvar which you dont always find. |Only ordered mains... I fancied the Lobster, but it was 65 pounds (which I would normally go for but thought it was overpriced) so went with the seafood platter. |The seafood platter came with battered fish pieces which were nice enough and garlic prawns which were tasteless in a watery sauce, so I didn't eat these. The calamari was also tasteless. The scallops were small, came with cheese and were the nicest seafood on the plate. I wasn't sure about the warm oysters, there wasnt much to them (but have had them before at 3 acres at a woodfired event a number of years ago and they were amazing), fries were excellent. |My partner had the lamb, which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. It had a celeriac puree which was lovely and the tenderstem broccoli was also well cooked. ||Overall, I've had better/same food for lower prices and would not order the seafood platter again. If you're visiting, the lamb is good choice. The venue and staff were lovely and we had an ok night overall.

Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast in a stunning location.
Rooms - perfect, couldn't be faulted.
Dinner - Decent without being special, menu needs a little more thought for the prices being charged.
Breakfast - Included in room price but surprised to find that although given a expansive menu the choice for residents was restricted to Acres Veggie Breakfast or Acres Breakfast, and even more surprised to be told if I wanted a sausage on it then I need to add as an extra.. very bizarre. Come on 3 Acres.. Open up the full breakfast menu to residents paying > £180 a night..!!

We stopped off for lunch on the way to a Bruce Springsteen concert, and it proved to be an excellent choice. |The set lunch menu at £23.95 was good value. I enjoyed my main of shepherd's pie and peas, which had a very tasty cheesy topping. Service was good and the staff were happy to chat when we asked about the renovation work. The view of Emley Moor Mast is fabulous ; still the tallest building in the UK. We shall return.

Wow, well done to the team on their amazing re-opening. Fabulous atmosphere, great food, and super friendly service. Loved the sharing roast chicken dish, and great to see many of the old favourites on the menu too. Welcome back, we’ve missed you.

So, so disappointed. We have been so excited, for so long, about returning to what used to be one of our favourite Huddersfield restaurants since the rebuild (after the fire). The food was always so amazing in the past. The place is now even prettier than it was, and the service is still fantastic. The food however Awful. We have eaten better cooked and tastier food in Wetherspoons. Really saddened by the massive drop off in the quality of the food. It is such a shame. The venue and the service still five star. The food however definitely one star. Soggy, undercooked, under flavoured crap. How can you get fish and chips so badly wrong. Honestly we are gutted. We shall not be returning. To be £180 out of pocket for food I would have been annoyed to pay £50 for is not good. I didn't have the heart to tell the waiter what we really thought about the food. It wasn't his fault.

£23 for two course lunchtime menu is OK if a bit restricted. A la carte seems quite expensive rising to over £30 for a main course potentially making two courses over £40. Wines for every pocket from around £30. Food quality (£23 menu) was OK but not noteworthy. Service is good and the staff are very pleasant.

Sunday lunch menu had no prices on, we were then informed it was £48 for 3 courses unless we wanted to order dishes individually, however were ensured this was a good deal, despite not knowing how much the individual courses would be?!. In actual fact it was £48.95...if you're going to charge significantly more then other restaurants in the area your food needs to be of significantly higher standard. The 2 slivers of pork served was scandalous, especially when 30% of it was fat. Sticky toffee pudding mediocre and not served with ice cream 🤨. I won't be visiting again.

First-time back after the reopening and even better. Food fantastic, I loved the Toad in the Hole and the veg with the Steak pie was outstanding.
