Full of alcoholic ppl and druggies the staff are fully aware even telling you what drugs the ppl are picking up out the cars which pull up says it all! reception staff were polite n helpful offered coffee tea supplies.
Had to double lock n secure door with something behind it to make sure nobody could get in to room. NOT a hotel more hostel for down n outs where ppl don't care about them or what they doing.

A very interesting place to stay. Dated and rooms are very interesting. Never known to have a light sensor in a bath room, so when having a bath, it goes off.
Staff were lovely on arrival. No bar or restaurant is in use at the time of my visit.
On a busy junction which us fun to get out of

Terrible hotel, Essentially a privately owned youth hostel.

Now dear reader, I don't write poor reviews on a whim, I am conscious that unsolicited advice is rarely welcome and should be carefully applied to someone's livelihood, but seriously this is the worst overnight I have had in many years and many continents. The price suggests it will be comparable to an Ibis or nice pub. The reality is that you are checking into a very poorly maintained old building that is essentially a hostel. Am I qualified to comment? Yes, as I spend on average 200 nights per year in hotels.

I stayed 3 nights in an Executive room. I was greeted with the announcement that there is no food or drink available (not ideal after a very long day driving up from the South of England). I was also perplexed as to why the Covid screens were still in place? Not a great 1st impression. The receptionist was only interested in telling me what I would not be able to do, rather than asking what she could do for me.
I thought, no worries, as long as it is clean / comfortable /airconditioned and has WiFi ill be fine for a few days, I mean how bad can it be?

Cleanliness/Repair. Clean, yes, repair of room poor. Bathroom sink broken and glued back together.

Shower power - Pathetic.

Comfortable: Bed, Very good, pillows lumpy and cheap. Seating old/stained.

Air Conditioned, Yes BUT Not functioning at all. Room hotter than Satan's underpants even with all heaters switched off and windows open (the permitted 10cm) for 48 hours.

WiFi, very limited, devices both constantly dropping in/out of connection. TV in room, but no remote control

Price, I paid around £80 per night and immediately realised how infinitely better a roadside Ibis Budget is at £65 per night.

Arrived at hotel and good size car park but that's where anything positive stops. ||The hotel inside is tired, run down and a state.||I honestly didn't feel safe staying there to the extent i emptied car for fear it would get broken into.||||My room was so hot, aircon didn't work and i didn't feel safe leaving window open as flat roof level with it.||I had a fridge, microwave and massive tv... looked like a bedsit more than hotel room||||Bathroom was dirty, fixtures old and grimey.||||Bed was comfortable and sheets looked clean, but woke up bitten a lot....||||Staff were not particularly friendly, but if i worked there I'd probably be miserable also.||||Just plain terrible experience, i wanted to leave but couldn't afford to waste £65

This hotel is very poorly maintained and dated in the public areas, dusty skirting boards chipped paint and peeling wallpaper in the corridors. The banister on the stairs was wobbly and I feared if I relied on it too much it would give way.||The room was not much better, the carpets and upholstery were stained and had seen better days. The bathroom had a smell of sewage/drains and black mould was around the edges of the bath and dead insects in the bath itself! ||In addition one of the panes of glass in the window had been broken at some point and it had been replaced with a thin sheet of sticky back plastic for obscuring windows. This was not really stuck down either so the window may as well have been open and all the traffic noise from endless HGVs braking and pulling away under my window kept me awake all night.||If it wasn't for the fact this was the only hotel available in central burton with rooms available at the time of booking I would have left and hone elsewhere.

Look you get what you pay for. It was cheap and in a decent location but that’s it. The smell in the lobby and the room was horrible. The decor was so bad. Not had a touch up since the 70’s. The carpet in my room was disgusting. Toe nail clippings and tissues on the floor. I showered when I got home because I felt so awful after it.

Warm welcome on arrival, room was clean and the bed comfortable, easy parking outside off the road, room had a fridge and microwave. Ample tea and coffee provided, this was a last minute booking but good value compared to what others were charging. Would certainly use the hotel again if I was in the area, food is not available at this establishment but wetherspoons and other restaurants are a short walk away.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here while attending an event at Burton Town Hall, and this hotel does the job for a quick stay for a night out. Our room was pleasant except for a couple of fixtures and fittings being loose (namely shelves) and also the light in the bathroom was on a movement sensor so it occasionally would go off while we were showering. Plenty of parking was available and the WiFi was good, a kettle, microwave oven and fridge is available in the room although a few more tea and coffee supplies would have been better. Only downside is that despite advertising it here on TripAdvisor the hotel does not offer breakfast, although thankfully we were able to find a very good café (Café Malt) just a short drive away. The hotel also does not have a lift, due to being housed in an old industrial building.||If you're looking for luxury then look elsewhere, but for a basic room to sleep in for a night out it works.
