Had a lovely weekend in Northumberland. Got bus back from Amble to our motorhome at Coalhouses and decided to go into the social club for bottle of Prosecco / champagne and a couple of whisky chasers.
Was met by a lovely extremely well dressed gent at the door and we asked if we would be allowed in with our wee well behaved dog. Aye, he said. I’m sure it’s fine.
However, when we asked - sorry , no dogs!!
I was wee bit taken aback so didn’t ask the reason.
This is first time in Northumberland we have been refused entry because of our furry companion.
In all the other places we frequent, social clubs, rugby clubs , British legion clubs, all embrace custom and are glad to welcome new money paying customers.
We hope to return later this year and again will enquire about having an enjoyable night in the Togston social club.

Extremely friendly with local clientele who were very welcoming and sponsored old fashioned community values. Pool table and Juke box. Great fun, call in.

Great venue. I was in the upstairs function room for a kids party.
Plenty of seating and the facilities.
Service great and very clean.
Only slight down fall is the lack of parking.
