Well, it was clean and convenient, albeit a bit tired! ||The man sitting on the fire escape smoking cannabis as we arrived, set the tone perfectly. ||The shower was poor although I have to accept it was both wet and tepid, so did its job. ||The car was safe. ||The Toby Carvery next door isn’t exactly welcoming, but isn’t as bad as it first looked. We only had a drink and I’m not absolutely certain I would have eaten there, if I’m honest!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Travelodge, nice refurbed rooms, good decor. The bathroom was nice and the shower was 10/10. Good location and I liked the way you could enter/exit around different parts of the hotel.

An enjoyable stay in a well appointed room on the top floor. Great view of the Birmingham airport runway without any intruding noise. Food was excellent including the excellent breakfast service. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The hotel is tired but reasonably clean, it's the breakfast that bugs me. No tea or coffee, not a place to sit down and eat it, just a box of cornflakes 'to go'. Not offering breakfast would have been more customer friendly than this.

Handy as somewhere to sleep for one night at low cost, but we had to wait 15 for someone to come to reception at check in time, and it wasn’t until we called the number that someone actually came. The hotel is a bit tired and no lift was available. Our rooms were on the far side away from reception which wasn’t very convenient for carrying multiple suitcases and bags.

My bed was comfy but the pillow cases looked like they wasn't washed properly as they had some stains on them. Also the toilet didn't flush I told one of the staff members and they was going to move me to another room but then only to be told most of the rooms toilets don't flush very good so I just stayed in the same room. Also I had a shower only for the floor in the toilet to get very wet as the shower curtain didn't protect the water coming out enough it was just a flimsy shower curtain

I usually stay in premier inns, so maybe my review might be a bit biased… - the room was generally clean, but the floor had stains all over the place & the general room was pretty tired, the pillows were extremely firm & did not provide any comfort, the usb ports next to the bed weren’t working either. The walls were so thin that I could hear the adjacent rooms next to me - this wouldn’t usually be a problem until last night there was a lady coughing her lungs up all night. Then on the other side I could hear a foreign bloke on the phone to someone. Overall it wasn’t a good stay and I would not hesitate to find an alternative place to stay.

I typically avoid the Premier Inns with the Toby Carvery’s, because they are just not suited as hotels and seem more of a convenience to the company rather than the end user, the building is not designed at the same standard as such a regular hotel is, it’s also pretty inconvenient when you would rather have something other than a roast dinner every evening.
