Top floor was definitely needed for a quieter stay. Can hear traffic outside and slight smell of KFC from Oposite. Lots of food places available near by and places deliver to here so no restraint no problem. Clean room and clean bathroom - kettle could do with a renew/clean. Kid ran about the hall for a while but eventually stopped, wasn’t late at night so no complaints really about that. Staff very friendly and helpful, despite being busy. Good nights sleep and not too loud from outside on a night, little loud during the day but we had a room facing the road. Linen and towels clean, mattress was comfortable. Room a decent size with a decent TV and channels. Good for the price we paid. Too good to go breakfasts could be improved with cold milk and not warm milk and more flavour to cornflakes.

This was a one night stopover, it was clean, nice room and very quiet. It also had a lift which is unusual for a Travelodge and so welcome as we had heavy cases with us.

I have been comeing for the last 3 weeks the staff are very polite the place is kept spotless I stayed at another hotel for the last 2 nights I won’t say wat firm but there hospitality skills We’re r zero so my daughter booked me back in last night for today soon as I came in I was welcomed off Anne Marie who is on the reception it wasn’t quite the booking in time so Anne Marie told me to take a seat told me the coffee and tea are there if u would like one and said my room will be ready soon she goes that little bit extra to welcome you to the travelogue all the staff are very polite and go that xtra bit to make your stay comfortable got my key for my room opens the door just what t I was expecting spotless beds maid perfect lovely clean smell thank you to the cleaners I have stayed in a few hotels lately they mite be more expensive maybes they should lower there prices and put them on hospitality skills i do no can’t fault any of them they run the hotel perfect that goes whith out saying out of ten I would give a perfect 10 keep it up all the staff at traveloge they no how to run a hotel each one of them do there jobs perfect to make your stay quiet comfortable and affordable so the traveloge would be perfect perfect for families as it’s so quiet on the night time perfect stay it’s the hotel for me from now on 5 stars from me in all the departments what the staff do keep it up perfect thank you for the warm welcome Anne Marie big thank u to all the staff well done

Lovely warm welcome. Room and en-suite were clean. Toiletries included. Tea, coffee in room , you could help yourself downstairs to more if needed. Hotel is about 15/20 min walk from metro centre! Bus stop just outside into Newcastle. Car park was free.

Adam the receptionist was an absolute star with me in my recent stay up at there fore work. Made me feel at ease and couldn’t have been more lovely. Thank you so much ||Great rest too, lovely comfy beds and a lovely hot shower in the morning. Fee parking too

I had an amazing stay at Travelodge Gateshead! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, well-appointed, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to the Metrocentre and City centre —and the hotel itself was peaceful and relaxing. Especially claire who made this experience a 10/10!

Great travelodge. Good location although it can be a bit daunting driving around the Metro Centre at weekends. We had a room overlooking the River which was nice. The staff are great and very cheerful and helpful. Connor on reception is a great asset to the company. If you fancy a walk to the Metro Centre, there's a path behind the hotel by the railway line. It takes you straight there.
