Enjoyed a two night stay at the Hemel Hempstead Gateway Travelodge. Very large free car park for guests (make sure you pop your reg number in at reception) ||My room was modern, clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed! The shower had excellent pressure . All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Nice bar/cafe area. Breakfast selection was good and tasty. ||Amenities wise there is a Toby Carvery, Dominos and Subway on the ground floor of the hotel. Also a couple of supermarkets just up the road.

A lovely comfortable place to stay. Good rooms as usual. Really good breakfast and worth every penny. Very comfortable and clean beds and very importantly for me a lift! Very friendly and helpful staff and great stopping point before flying from Luton Airport.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any request. The rooms and toilets were spotless, making for a very comfortable experience. Free parking is a huge plus, and the location is super convenient – just a short walk from Subway, Domino's, Lidl, and Costa, so you're never far from food or essentials.

I just wanted to take the time to thank Mary. I have shared a fear with Mary, a ridiculous phobia actually, and Mary just dropped everything and escorted me to my room. No judgement, no issue just 100% caring and lovely person. A massive plus for the organisation in my mind and I will definitely be back because of this kind gesture.

Most of the hotel staff were very friendly and assisted us during our stay. However, Mary, the receptionist, is one of the most rudest people I have met, having worked in the hotel industry myself for 5 years. No genuine smile at the front desk, her head down ignoring us, then stood up, went behind a wall, and started talking to us from behind a wall!! Other hotel staff were helpful and went above and beyond. The food was good, being that it's 2 * hotel, free parking and location is ideal. Would recommend staying here, just avoiding running into Mary the receptionist.

An adequate room with bare minimum facilities as expected from a budget hotel. The staff were busy running the bar so I waited 15 minutes to be checked in. The room was very warm [a written warning in the room tries to cover this] with no fan provided. I was in room 711, which throughout the night had a constant intermittent vibrating noise happen. I was later told by staff that this was the laundry room! Don't stay in that room! Terrible nights sleep.

Hotel, parking, location and staff were great. Unfortunately, I felt like I was sleeping in the middle of the main road out side. Cars noise was very loud, lorries ai felt were about to drive through the room. We had room 204, possibly different if you are on the other side of the building. We stayed here due to an early flight from Luton, wish I’d saved the moved and stayed and home and left early, would’ve had more rest. Lack of sleep doesn’t give a good basis for a long day out.
