We were met by Laura with a smile. Seeing my 86yo Ancient Assistant in a wheelchair she insisted on making sure we had an accessible room, even though guests had not long checked out. She offered us another room to wait but we chose the bar for much needed refreshment while she sorted out the room (room 4). ||||This was perfect, plenty of space for the wheelchair and the Ancient one loved the shower/wet room with all the hand rails and shower seat. It was better than home she said! ||||Throughout our stay, Laura couldn't do enough and always service with a smile - at Reception, in the Bar, in the Kitchen she needs roller skates! ||||The area is quiet, well served for nearby shops (Tesco Express, Pizza Hut, Cinema) & great location for Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay (Newcastle city too, but we didn't need to go there). Plenty of free parking and reasonably-priced rooms. ||||Hoping to bring back a group in the summer for warmer fun!

The room was clean enough and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed 1 night as our bathroom was being fixed. No complaints at all.|Bathroom had everything you could need, and if you want a hairdryer ask at reception. We didn't try the food or the bar.

Perfectly adequate hotel and reasonably priced. You know what you're getting. Easy to find, about 15-20 min walk to the Metro (with a toddler). Free parking on site and card entry to the rooms. We had a leaky toilet and was given another room.

Stayed here on the 19th October 2024.
Friendly service, clean and affordable .
Staff were very accommodating breakfast was good and plentiful.
It had everything you needed but it was just missing a few small touches.
No drawers to store clothing or personnel items.
No glasses / plastic glasses in the bathroom to have a drink ,store items or rinse your mouth out after brushing.
No hairdryer.
I understand this is what makes staying here cheaper but I would gladly pay a little more to have these items in your room especially a hairdryer.
The beds were very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. It’s very quiet here. Car parking plentiful.
Will definitely stay here again

A newer Travelodge means it is quite a large hotel. The room was smaller than normal but checking the back of the door we had one of the smallest rooms. Was still a fine size. Rooms are typical Travelodge, clean, basic and comfortable. Just a shower room rather than a bath. There were plenty of plugs and USB sockets. Yes you can't open the window but the air con system was efficient and provided fresh air. If it wasn't enough it was easy enough to go outside.

We had dogs and there were quite a few dogs staying, they were welcome everywhere and the staff were great, both with the dogs and on reception/bar during the whole of our stay.

Plenty of free parking and for the price we paid, it was a bargain there is a petrol station one way and a Tesco/Greggs the other way plus the hotel does food, 24hr pizza and buffet breakfast if needed.

The rooms are large, clean and spacious. The biggest mention however deserves to be the service received from Chris and Lindsay. Super friendly, helpful and professional. They valued us as guests and made us feel at home.|Highly recommended !!

Bookwd because it was close to meeting location, and was very pleasantly surprised. Room was large, spotlessly clean, no damage anywhere. Food was good at breakfast, bar was good for evening. Quiet, safe, very good nights sleep. Staff were lovely, especially Kevan, who was very courteous. Need to ask for a hairdryer, but reception does have them. Will definitely book again.

After a house fire,I stayed here for 3 month,with my 2 dogs.Everybody from managers to cleaning staff were fantastic and helped us get through this bad experience. They made us feel so welcome. |I wish them all a great Xmas and new year. Thanks |Terry, molly & max.
