Very well situated just a couple of minutes walk from the Hight Street, yet very quiet. The room was spacious, clean and inviting, and the bed was really comfy. Well laid-out bathroom - no frills, but very adequate with a nice shower. Highlight of the stay was the attentive service of Doreen at breakfast - what a lovely lady! (And the breakfast was good too!)

We were given a warm welcome by Chrissie, who couldn't do enough to help us throughout our stay, and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. ||I had rung in advance to ask them to assign us the best room for us based on us taking our dogs and we were located on the ground floor (so no scary lifts!) and at the end of a corridor, so they weren't disturbed by people walking past our room, which was perfect.||Special mention for Doreen who went out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and to make a fuss of the dogs!

I spent a few nights here. The service was okay. The room felt more like a students room as it was soo basic for example, there is a desk area, very small wardrobe area to hang clothes, coats and a little area on top to store things in.

They give you a very small kettle and free tea bags, coffee, milk cups and sugar which you can help yourself to downstairs.

They give you bath towels and hand towels.

A small/very dusty TV which should have been dusted for health and safety!

Bath was very small and slippery. You couldn't even bathe in there to be honest. Be very careful when showering.

Fan didn't work in the bathroom so bathroom got pretty steamy!!!

The radiator heat was good.

Mattress was lumpy. Pillows were uncomfortable and gave me a neck ache when I woke up in the morning.

Cleaners only came in once a week but didn't really clean the bathroom. Only the carpet and the rubbish was taken out.

I also smelled cannabis in the hallways and lift. It also may have been coming from one of the rooms I was opposite to on the second floor.

The member of staff named Chrissy was helpful, polite, smiley and informative!

I heard how they are going to refurbished the hotel! Hopefully it will be more modern than it is now!

Good clean basic hotel room at an excellent price. Staff at breakfast cheerful and very helpful. Thank-you Doreen and Lily! Would stay again without hesitation. Parking across the street only until 8 am, but car park 100m along the road 24 hrs for £6.20.

We stay here regularly. The team are so friendly and hospitable. Especially Doreen who works really hard and deserves to be recognised for her exceptional service. Location is perfect, just a 5 min walk from the town centre and main bus station which means you are well connected to the rest of the island.

Even though some of the fittings looked a little tired in the communal areas of the stairwell and corridors the room itself was exceptionally comfortable, clean and had all the amenities you could want from a Travelodge. There were some problems with the keycard but this was solved by Sophie who was on duty the days we were there. And of course the filling and ample breakfast that was provided by Doreen on both mornings we stayed there!

Between 2330 and 0200, it was so noisy with drunken guests returning to their rooms!
at 0330, there was a huge bang from upstairs. We thought they were coming through the ceiling, which woke us all up again.
Breakfast was ok, but hash browns were like rubber & scrambled eggs were sloppy.
Would we stay again? Yes, it's an ok place to stay for 1 night with our Dog.
