Room was to a good standard as very clean bedding/towels and bathroom very clean. Good sized tv and good amount of channels. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Maria who works in the bar/restaurant part of the hotel is very friendly and cooked my food very good. She is very hardworking and has excellent customer service experience and skills. Overall great experience at Travelodge. I would only say that travelodge prices can be a bit expensive at times at over £60 a night.

Slept very well here. Surprisingly quiet despite being so central. Breakfast is fine but lacked gluten-free so we bought our own. Toilet paper so thin we also bought our own! Enough space in the family room for 4 with the 2 extra beds. Main bed was comfortable, extra beds a bit hard. Linen and towels fresh. ||

Big thanks for Julie & Scott, they're AWESOME!!!!!!! Extremely kind and helpful, 5* customer service. Room is clean, quiet, perfect for a few nights, highly recommended. Bed is super comfortable, we will definitely come back . Thanks again

I stayed here for a gig, the location is good being just >10 minutes walk into the city, it is in a bit of a rough area though. I called a week before to request a room with a bath, which they said they would sort for me. But when I arrived I got given a shower room, so had to go back down to request a bath, wait quite a while at reception when I was already tired for travelling and had lots of bags with me. They did eventually give me one so I then had to move all my stuff over, a lot of faff which could have been easily avoided in the first place. The room was very big and clean but the pipes in the bathroom were so noisy constantly.

Very much a believer of ‘you get what you pay for’, but for there to be beads left on the bathroom floor from previous guests, no hand soap or shower gel in dispensers and loose door handles and towel rail fittings even a bare basic standard wasn’t observed here. Matched with the glaring light from the fire escape through the window in room 218 making me think I’d woken up late at 0130 could not recommend staying here for anything other than a last option.

My electronic key failed 4 times and on each day of my stay. Worst time was when I couldn't get into the building at 11:30pm on a cold January night. Worse still 3 out of 4 times there was no one on reception so I had to call their emergency 0800 number. Worse still no one answered the emergency number.
Other Travelodge places I've stayed have not had this problem. Reception staff seemed to be expecting problems with the keys... I figure there must just be a management problem at this hotel.
Apart from that it was great!

Pleasant staff, clean rooms and well located for the train station and city centre.

Unfortunately, the surroundings aren't great, and the area feel run down, but it's a dry, warm place to rest your head and the bar/restaurant are perfectly acceptable.

A very decent, clean, well maintained and comfortable. Location is close to the station, the city centre, cathedral and castle. Staff are excellent plus if needed a cafeteria/ restaurant. This trip was a success
