Pros: Easy check in, friendly, cheerful staff behind desk.|Hotel reception and lobby nice and clean, vending machine fully stocked. Room was nice and warm when I entered and it was clean, plenty of tea, coffee and milk, you only need to ask to get more. Soaps in the dispensers, toilet rolls and nice fluffy cheese towels. Beds were super, hotel was nice and quiet so had a good night's sleep. Small services attached and a cafe/restaurant Hog and Hedge if you needed refreshment. The hotel is in a great position for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding area.|Cons: Only the one is that the car park can be extremely busy during the afternoon and it was hard to find a parking spot.

Rooms are basic but very clean. Looks like everything needs a freshen up as the walls, doors and other surfaces look tired. Bed comfy, pillows comfy, heating works to it's own beat. Loads of hot water. Very little in the way of neighbour noise.

Enough parking, and it's free. Just don't forget to pop your registration number in the tablet on reception. Staff are fantastic, all friendly and polite and happy to give advice and recommendations. I highly recommend The Post Inn a short walk away for cheap and quality food and drinks (with an absolutely charming landlady too!) rather than the overpriced Hog and Hedge next door to the hotel.

As a lone traveller this time around I felt safe. A great base to start an adventure, or a nice pit stop for onwards travel.

I chose this as a single traveler as the price was very reasonable. The room was basic, no frills but fairly large, a very comfortable bed, soft fluffy towels, tv and tea making facilities so had everything I needed. I could hear background traffic noise but it was not intrusive. The nearby cafe didn't open until 8 am but there is a service station you can get food at if you choose to do your own breakfast, there is also a pub 5 minutes away for an evening meal. The staff were friendly and helpful so all in all a reasonable option for those seeking a budget stay.

We stayed here between Xmas and new year for 3 nights, a cheap stay away for us to travel to see family over the Xmas break. The staff at this hotel were very approachable, friendly and kind. There is a small restaurant next to the hotel, a Greggs in the petrol station next to the hotel and a lovely country pub a small walk from the hotel, so plenty of options for food. I would like to suggest that Travelodges in general have a small fridge in rooms as it would have helped with storing milk for our 2 year old. Overall a great stay and we would definitely come back to stay

Do not go here. It is very cheap for a room yes, but you should expect to have a tv included. The staff attitude was absolutely terrible. We were basically treated as children, as the staff did not care. we were told we could move rooms so we packed just to be told we got told there was a room available but offline. Both pubs advertised were closed. The breakfast they advised is £5.50 but when we asked it was alot more and they told us the poster hasn't been changed. The bed was broken. And there was no hand towels in the bathroom. And staff had no knowledge of local transport. Not coming again. I'm glad to go home.

Nice quiet room.Very clean and utilitarian as befits a budget stopover . Bed very comfortable Good shower.Fluffy towels .TV good reception.Hog and Hedge provided excellent breakfast and good strong coffee.Morrisons 24/7 adequate for room snacks/water.reception welcoming at Travel Lodge.An excellent no frills break from the Xmas blitzkrieg.

I have stayed in many Travelodges because they are usually reasonably priced, and you pretty much know what to expect. This place was clean, the lady at reception was very nice, plenty of tea, etc, but you can hear other people, I could hear the person next door snoring, and upstairs were like a herd of elephants. There was free parking, and as long as the price is right, I will stay again.

Comfortable room and clean, but shower curtain very old fashioned. Easy to park and good pub down the road called The Post for food. On the down sidet lousy TV reception and very few channels.
